If you are not familiar with numbers documentation on 70 E Bodies get it checked. Looks like it has all it's papers but
re bodies and re stamps are prevalent on big dollar hemi cars. Make sure the numbers that match were put there by Dodge.

Check out the ones he has that are available. I assume the ones marked 'Inquire for Price' = unless you are Jay Leno, F off and don't bother us
Why I responded like that. Looked at other vehicles on the sight.
Bet Shelbys Cobra is pocket change.....

Beautiful car - with everything correct and quality work done I would agree on the $125-$200K range, but as we all know the price is driven by the market. Auction price and private sale pricing can be much different....

I'd like to know what a "good" price is.

Pretty sure this is a half million dollar car.

I'd estimate that car would bring about $150,000 at auction right now. There have been some low sales for very nice old muscle cars in the last year at auction IMO.

No way. This is what's out there right now....

This one doesn't say numbers matching but assuming it is.

This one is not OE.

And I am pretty sure the Hemi orange will command a premium as well.

Wonderful car but if you have never driven an old car, it ain't a Hellcat. I have a 70 Charger R/T 440 4-speed and driving it is exhilarating (aka terrifying). Kudos to the Nascar drivers of the late 60’s and early 70’s who drove these cars at 200Mph.

Value, as others say, is market driven but a Klutt Hemi 4-speed will not be cheap.

Lord Hellcat - aren’t you in England? That will sure turn heads at the pub!

I have been offered this very special car at what I think is a good price.
I just wanted your collective thoughts and wisdom as to what I should be paying for it.

So what are your thoughts on it? I wonder how long it has been on the market? Obviously, whoever owns it now has a lot of money in it but is ready to let it go...and price may not be his main objective.

Many thanks for all your replies. Your thoughts are very much appreciated. I good friend was offered the car and knowing that I am into my american muscle he called me. I will have a better idea tomorrow what the guy is willing to take for the car. The UK is a difficult market for american stuff that is high value. £20,000 to £30,000 there is a market for. Big money muscle cars not so much. Only a few serious collectors.

Is the car in the U.K. now? That would make the transaction easier.

Remember, you must realy, realy want this car badly to own it. If you buy it, remember it's a 14 sec car that will do nothing to excite you. After awhile your friends will grow tired of you showing it off and so will you. You will get rid of it and look for something else to excite you.
Now a 935 Porsche, if you can get one, wiil twist your depends into a knot and look badd-ass just sitting there waiting to twist your depends all over again. YEE_HAW.
Sorry I lost myself there.

This. ^^

And if it is all original #’s matching it’ll easily become a garage queen. That luster soon wears off. Even if not all #’s matching such a high quality resto will limit weekend drives. I know.......just saying.

Def agree with this. Prices are definitely down on premium muscle cars last couple of years. I would even say as low as $130- 160K

Ask is the ask. What people pay are two different things. If these cars aren't pulling that money at Barret Jackson (Premium selling platform with affluent clientele and alcohol sales to boot) , they're not getting that money anymore. $250-$350k mid 60's big block 'Vettes are going 80-90K. Most if not all these cars aren't worth what a professional resto + purchase price cost anymore.

Write a check?
That's all I need to do?
I can do that!
Shoot, if I'd known that, I would have paid off my car AND bought the 70.
