I have been offered this very special car at what I think is a good price.
I just wanted your collective thoughts and wisdom as to what I should be paying for it.
It is a fully documented factory Hemi Orange Challenger R/T is 1 of only 137 ever built with the 426 Hemi coupled with 4-speed transmission. Built on June 8th 1970 @ Chrysler’s Hamtramck Plant and documented with its factory Broadcast Sheet. Complete with a true R-Code numbers matching 426/425hp Hemi engine and its numbers matching Hurst Pistol-Grip 4-speed manual transmission. Optioned with black bucket seats with a console, factory Track Pak with Dana 60 Sure Grip rear end with 3.54 gears, dual exhaust with chrome tips, factory Rallye instrument dash with tach and clock. Loaded with options including power steering, power disc brakes, AM/8-Track radio with a 3-front/2-back speaker system, remote mirror, steel rims with dog dish hubcaps and F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs.

My 70 R/T had the rally wheels, and alas, only the 440.

A numbers matching 4 speed Hemi E-body is a rare find. It looks well done. Nice options. I would say from $125,000-$200,000 and maybe more depending on the fit and finish.

Beautifull car. All it's good for is staring at it. I had 2 '68 Hemi Chargers. My '69 440R/T charger was faster. I sold both the Hemi's. Wish I had the 440R/T back.

To add to this story; the movie studeos here in LA wanted me to run the Cannonball with one of my Hemi's. Car was not done yet and I missed it. One of my customers rented a 6.9 Mercedes in NY and added a huge fuel tank and won the race. I think this was around 1980 or so. He showed up at my shop with the car and huge trophy. He was on his way to have the tank removed and return the car to Hertz.LOL

I'm not any sort of expert, but if you can truly validate the providence and integrity of this car, it comes down to what it's worth to you, right?

Not enough of these being bought and sold to set a comparative market. Now if you're buying it as an investment, that's a different story. Then I guess you do need to find the market value.

Investment... do your research. Something to own and money is no object... buy it! Opportunities like this are few and far between.

I own a few things I over payed for and have never regretted. It's what I wanted and I now have it.

If you want it, buy it. Life is too short to deny yourself anything if you can afford it. I still kick myself in the ass for not buying the car of my dreams ( '64 Dodge Stage 3 Max wedge with aluminum front end.) Saw it in Hemmings. Had 4k miles. Asking 145K. I drove one of these when I was 17 and working as a lot boy at a hot rod shop. Had 10/11 sec time slips. I was a good driver ( I thought ). This kid ( me ) was so in over his head behind the wheel of this car.LOL Scared the ever lovin shit out of me.
Anyways I passed on this car and have regretted it ever since.

Can't say anything on pricing because I'm not sure, but I would get it! Looks flawless and is a true time capsule.

Looks beautifully done ! Assuming all the providence checks out and the resto work is as good as the pics look, it's definitely a winner !

Hemi Orange + 426 + poverty caps + 8 track are a classic 70's combo, should take trophies if you show it !!

If documentation is in order..two other factors may add to value..one owner car?..and original mileage prior to restoration..and to the serious collector..how extensive was the restoration..multiple body panels replaced..and big money guys walk...what was the price you thought was reasonable?

That pic of the car in front of the garage door is from Legendary Car sales in Canada. Peter Klutt owns that dealer. It is not on there web site but he could fill you in on it I am sure.
