Regarding going to the ‘drag wing’.... I had sort of a wind tunnel experience that opened my eyes to what’s going on behind the car at speed. At the NoFlyZone half mile, I used the chute and got some excellent video of that from a passenger in the car in the lane next to me. I was amazed that when the pilot came out, it and the deployment bag that it pulled out went directly into the ground just feet from the car. They say a picture is worth a thousand horsepower (something like that. 😂). The air rolling of that stock “spoiler” is not a good thing. The turbulence and drag created by that is huge. It also can’t help with stability. Fast drag cars run these things for a reason. Before this happened... I had noticed that the F/S Drag Pak Challenger didn’t have that stock spoiler. They had removed it and were running nothing. I figured that they were not allowed to add aero per NHRA but they didn’t want that spoiler on there. Here’s what I’m talking about.... this is at 170mph 266B2CB5-FB16-49A4-8E66-BA47DD63F369.jpeg 8E2C2C56-A82E-4296-B6ED-883C0612D118.jpeg EE50B0FB-B3C8-486D-B15D-4410C8EEE596.jpeg ABD97D51-F139-44A9-8911-8EF50C0EAF4C.jpeg

Still waiting on the struts but this thing came out nice! Satin powder coat matches the deck lid perfectly. Happy happy 😊 6A65387D-ED8F-40E1-BF59-E4839371E4EB.jpeg 53993AA0-61C7-4B88-90CC-1FEE45A8B5CB.jpeg 3AA6291E-0B8B-48C6-95D7-683B4E9E2BF3.jpeg 59CB1215-8598-49DD-8113-A157F4830985.jpeg

Wow Marc those look awesome!
Picked my car today. Just got home.
Tommy finally got rid of the Viper that was in his shop. Lol
I got to see your 3.5 pulley before you did... hahaha.
Tommy has 2 more 426 stroker builds coming up.
I might go back in June if I get luck with the weather early in the am. Depends on when I get my pulley set up.

This is the next (and final) increase in power for the 4.5 Whipple. We are running the 4.0" pulley with the 10% ATI and have it working so efficiently now that we are at 1202whp with only 22/23 lbs boost at 7000 rpm.
I talked to Whipple about critical rotor speed limits and whether we could spin it faster to make more power. They did the math and said as long as we have the temps under control, the answer was.... YES. This 3.50" pulley will be the sweet spot (we hope).
The 4.5 Whipple is at the end of it's competitive life. The new 3.8 will be replacing it, but we are not going to hold our breath waiting for that to be available. Whipple told me 4 months. They also told me that the new 3.8 will be capable of supporting 2200 hp. I'm sorta holding my breath :devilish:

And BTW..... I have a feeling that I'm about to become number two on the totem pole at SRT Autoworks. Joe's Demonic HC is back at Barths getting his race tune next week and will be on the track with Tim driving at his upcoming track rental at Great Lakes before returning back home to Calif. You can understand why I am going to need that new 3.8 Whipple.... He's got this sitting on his  IMG_8801.JPG

Good stuff . Interested to see the out come . I have found that on more then one occasion that the time line a company gives you is not very accurate to say the least . 4 months might be 4 years lol

That’s why it’s back in Chicago for hands on tuning. Don’t try that at home. These guys are serious about putting me down! And then there’s that damn Primetime. Little Maggie is going to kick my ass when he gets the six idler pulleys it needs to get the job done. 😂
