Flip this on its head a bit and then tweak...

40-10mph, 10x @ .3-.4gs (use your Uconnect)
Cool down...
then
60-20mph, 10x @ .6-.8gs, nearly as quick as you can knock them out, BEING ACUTELY AWARE OF IMPENDING FADE!!!, STOP BEDDING PROCESS BEFORE FADE SETS IN!

Complete cool down by driving, no complete stops during cool down unless required for law/safety...


Rinse/Repeat if you're unhappy with stopping performance...

No, my rotors have 60k miles and a huge lip on both side. They’re fine, send it as long as they’re not pulsating the brake pedal

I would check the depth of the lip on the rotor on both sides (if you have one) and the thickness of the rotor just to be safe though. If you have state inspection, rotor thickness could be a requirement.

Changed out the pads in 40 min. today. New record. But the four calipers were spotless thanks to the Powerstop pads. So after compacting the pistons a bit the new pads slide right in.

After about 19-20k miles, the Powerstops are about 19/32 thick. I put them on the car at 15 miles.

The new Hawks are 5/8” if your generous. So 0.03” of wear in 20k miles is rather outstanding IMO.

Go bed in the Hawks and the wheels come back looking like this! Yep the DP rotors have checks. They all do it and hope they are my last set. Hint, hint! Dust galore!

These set of pads are working really well on the DP rotors. Nice blue coating on the rotor, exercised them extensively last session. Yes, that is a pile of brake dust at the bottom of the wheel.

I got that Chinese made POS and it is not titanium. It will blossom. But after you fire it clean once in a while it is ok. I use it and a couple other punches. That one works well on the rears. Longer one is better for the front.

I bought the tool because I am a tool junky, but haven't used it yet. I just used the right size/length punches when I did the Challenger and Durango. Oh, and you might as well just go ahead and punch your first nick in each caliper's powder coating and be done with it before you start - makes the rest of the pad swap less stressful and more enjoyable

I have them, in my opinion they don’t work as good and fade faster. Only plus is less brake dust

I would change that to

"They don't work quite as good, but fine for the street, both for braking effort, or fade" and "do NOT take them to the track".

They're so easy to swap...
