What a shame. I still don't understand why the V8 can't still be offered for those of us wanting it, even if it means paying some kind of carbon credit, gas guzzler, non-progressive, old school, whatever tax. I'd pay it.

That will come to a screeching halt. After they get enough kool aid drinkers so we can’t go back. What do we think the GOVERNMENT will do with the 50,000 charging stations their socialist agenda is going to put up? Free charging, free power for everyone? No road taxes? Continued tax rebates for all? Not a chance. You all are enjoying apparent cheap charging at home right now. Better enjoy it while you can.

Was bad enough he raised gas tax upwards of .35-.45 a gallon (and today sits about .50-.55 higher than WI and MO), he wanted a $2,000/yr registration for EV vehicles because "they would avoid paying the gas tax"

So, push people to EV's, then rape them with a tax like that.

Lots of pressure got that one off the bill, but its not dead.

If Republicans can take the House and 2/3 of the Senate, the House could make Trump Speaker of the House. (One doesn’t have to be a member of Congress to be the Speaker.). Then Joe and Kamalala could be impeached and convicted in the Senate. Ta-da! Trump is president again. Will never happen, but would be a hoot.
