well maybe we have alternate plans for tomorrow??

i was incorrect about the status of my track brake pads for the vette. Rear, brand new, still in wrapper.... front..... uh.... I didnt order them when I ordered the rear.

i was just planning on coming down running a few laps on street pads... but if your car is down, we can certainly get you to Joplin. Or whatever you like. I’m free. So is my trailer and my truck’s driver.
Oh my, let's talk tomorrow.

Well and it was. How you got mountain folks that come out of the hills twice a month and bring their goods to trade and you have city club bikers come into their territory and get along is remark able. Couple of things we had in common, we did not get along with the 99% of the population which put us in the club of the 1%. We all had long hair, beards, at tats. They lived in the mountains and we lived in the bowls of the city. Had all in the world in common. Miss those people cause they would have your back in sum ones else heart beat. Never ferget em.

I'm really sorry to hear about the bad luck in OK last weekend. I've been pretty busy finishing up a production release that's due this week and haven't been keeping track.
I'm becoming firmly in the camp of these cars really don't need many suspension mods to be quick. I'm very happy with my MP springs, front Hotchkiss bar, 305/35 R888R tires and DTC70/60 front/rear pads. The car just keeps on trucking. :)
Regarding your supercharger failure, that's really odd. I could understand it better if you had pulleyed the car, but stock supercharger failures are pretty darn rare now I think.
I should be at Road America with the Shelby club Memorial Day weekend and Brainerd 3.1 with the Corvette club on 6/22. I haven't been able to make many more plans. My Indy track day with the PCA has been delayed since the Indy 500 is now this August.

Good to hear from you TD! I figured you were tied up in something important.

The problem seems to be centered on the pulley. My drag racer friends have been helping with the discussion. Hope the dealer agrees, I believe I should be ok there. I should be able to be at BIR on the 22nd, hope they are ready for us.

I shared this pic on the other site in a thread. A preview of the session that killed the pulley. I should be able to make an interesting video or two. The set-up with my mods with the wheels/tires made for the WB sure felt good[cheerleader] picture shows everything was working on the road. Biz deserves more rewards for the perfect place he has those 12" fronts with a 325/30 working. The 345/30's out back, laughed all day- hardly show any wear at all! The camber adjustments and sway control all helped the front tire wear also.

@DGatzby i hope you had a good time despite your troubles. I enjoyed it despite troubles of my own (killed the atom!)

was good to meet and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Let me know what you think might be best..... if you’re willing to have me, I’d really like to give Brainard a try in the vette.

Thanks Gents. @sad hats off to the hospitality at that track. They even provide the photos that were GREAT for free!

That is the ONLY shot anyone, even me, has got of that car where we can appreciate the size of the rubber @TRIUMPH tucked under the front of that car. I really enjoyed driving it even on that short track.

A little daylight underneath the left front so you must have been pulling some G's!

Plenty of opportunity for that at Hallett. Very technical, windy with lots of variation in its 1.8 miles. Not a big track, but a fun one none-the-less. Run by some of the greatest people. Very much my home away from home.

Adding to the list of what does not work - I used DTC 70/60 pads front/rear at Road America a couple of weeks ago and got pad fade about 3 laps into my session. To double check I bled my fluid and tried again the next session. Same result.
I've bought some temperature indicating paint for 1000, 1200 and 1400 F for the brake pads and some stickers for the calipers to measure what i currently see.
I also got some inline fans from Allstar Performance to wire in with some 3" ducting to help. I hope to try this stuff at Brainerd later this month.
Here is what my calipers look like now. The red is going away and my Brembo text is tan instead of white.
