Put the clunky stock wheels back on, to serve as jack stands while I'm mounting new tires on the good wheels.

And it does look like the brakes are still in decent shape, at least there's enough left for next summer's driving. DSCN0263[1].JPG DSCN0262[1].JPG

That's unlikely. Probably leaves or maybe the remains of a bird.

Either way, the wheel well is cleaner than the wheel...and about as dirty as the front of the car. Yeah, it's peroxide time.

I'm not going to hold it against you, but you do look slightly younger in that photo.

Normal driving will produce almost zero dust, only enough to barely see on a detailing cloth.
Agree. Look at any of my pictures using my chrome street wheels. Like he says, maybe, sometimes, rarely, potentially you may be able to wipe nearly any dust away.:p I have never seen any, but maybe sometime if I would bed them in twice and beat the shit out of them, some little dust or something may appear.

He is right, WTF you been driving through? Those wheel wells would get my garage floor dirty! In the next few weeks I will post up some pics on how to detail those dirty things. Hell I would need to vacuum those b4 I got a cloth out.

Funny thing about that....for years I operated on 4.5/5 hrs. of sleep....now that I'm retired...I sleep 7/8 hrs. a night...go figure...
