Changed the front wheels a stretched the shift out a bit…

Final update on the demon 170 today at BMP we ended up changing the front wheels and tires, which are very heavy to a proper skinny Weld, and definitely picked up in the 1/8… within, change the rear, and found that the rear is not very heavy and picked up nothing we went a 1.23 60 on a stock tire and backed it up with a Bead lock weld!! Dodge has done an incredible job with this car and it will go 8 more than once…. we will be posting videos a little later today @goldbergsgarage @hptuners @bradentonmotorsportspark @cleetusmcfarland @thatracingchannel @tricountymopars @volusiacountymopars @modernstreethemi #demon #demon170 #gearheadbuilt #gearheadlife #srt

I posted it in our 1/4 times thread but being not stock can't say he is the 1st stock car in the 8s. Also I believe that is the same car they picked up 40+ hp on the dyno

A Post seen on FB and I think it's very impressive and happened amazingly Fasst!
I'm sure Lee is still grinning!

Congratulations also goes to Lee Saunders. He was at Bradenton today (12/6) running his 270 mile Demon 170.
First pass was the 9.07 and you can see the rest of the passes in the 8.9Xs. Last 2 passes even cut a 1.23 60’! DA was said to be 400. No transbrake available due to mileage, so these passes were on a foot brake at 1k.
After the 9.07 pass, then had Gearhead Fabrications log in to tune the PCM/TCM, bump the shifts from 6,300 to 6,600 and adjust torque management. He kept the seats in the car but after the 2nd pass, they swapped to Weld skinnies up front, pulled the Harmon Kardon subs, and saw short track gains. They swapped the rears out too but didn’t see any gains from the rears being swapped.
Fuel was One Ethanol R and the car did require new plugs as the car was breaking up on factory plugs on the dyno but after the new plugs, One R were added with tuning, it made 970whp. Hopefully I got all of that right, as I wasn’t on site.
These cars sure are impressive from the factory. Can’t wait to see what these do at Legion of Demons Racing at the Texas Motorplex. For those of you going, see you there!

If Ron was on a 1/4 track instead of 1/8th he would have already done it but again he has weight reduction so at this point we can only say it is the 1st but not 1st stock one. How many racers have not received their's yet also? Some of these people will be known as 1st to do this or that while other still waiting to get their cars
