So I Ordered A 2023 Widebody Charger

To my complete surprise it has a shipping date of 8/1/23. Here's the build sheet on it. Not sure if I'm going to take delivery or not since my car goals have changed.

It's a tough decision. I have another vehicle and I have to make a decision. I'm trying to cut back, not add more things to take care of.

My logic (rationalization ?) with the Durango was --- rather than stick with the 6 year old one (even tho it was in great shape/low miles), get the '23 and reset the clock. There won't be another opportunity to get something like this and I hate, hate, hate what's coming. I plan to keep it until the wheels fall off or they take my license away.

Your '18 will bring good $$, so sell it and grab the new one while you can !

I'm tired of always watching the Charger and afraid to take it anywhere. We're going to an event in Georgia this week and we're not taking it because of the high possibility of it being stolen just outside of Atlanta.

The theft is an issue! Got a letter from State Farm yesterday saying I could get a discount on the D if I had an aftermarket immobilizer installed
1st time I've had an insurance co. encourage me to 'mod' my car

Our insurance went through the roof when I put the Charger back on the street.

Ours went up by 50% on all 3 cars! Agent said it was a double whammy, statewide bump due to increased repair costs + our county lost it's 'rural' rating due to the Suncoast coming thru grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

3 windshields in 4 years has put us in the high risk group since they're now being called a comp claim. Anyway they can up your rate.

Not that it matters and some people might like it that way, but I've noticed that the '23 Chargers no longer have color-matched mirrors. They are all black across the entire lineup and not in any option package either. Used to be 392's and Hellcats always got color-matched mirrors but no more. Black plastic for everyone.

That's a deal breaker right there.

It's being shown with black mirrors. All the trim is black on this car so, to me, it fits.

I agree. I would rather have one car that I can give the undevided attention it needs. Like several passes down the drag strip each week. Or two.
