Thank you. Being able to run balls out without getting the boot is probably in the top 5 reasons why I sold. I am also looking at something that will have cheaper operating costs (racing). The Demon had the race PCM for 4700 miles of it's life and I ran it on 100 octane the whole time. Probably 6 or 8 thousand dollars worth of fuel. Maybe more. It will be so good to be able to run regular old 91 octane for a change.........

Had something similar happen when I was trying to sell my TDI Jetta at the height of the gas/peak oil shit.

Paid 20k for the car new. Drove it everywhere in 14 months. Listed it for 22 and my phone blew up.

Guy claimed to be a VW enthusiast and really wanted it. Saw the car listed 2 days later at 24k and sold within a week.

It sucks being lied too and you think you are doing the right thing.

I'm curious to what this will sell for now. It's well documented that it was raced. It's a one seat car which seems to kill sales.
If it had 5 seats I'd probably would have made you an offer on it.

Good luck with your next car.

Ron, I gotta give you credit. You raced the fuq outta that car and enjoyed it. It was an irreplaceable experience that few will ever have. Good luck on your next ride.

Only ever see race gas also?

Is this part of the recipe?

I am not sure. But some say that if the car is not street driven it will be faster on the drag strip. That is hard to beleive since I always drive my car around the pits to warm it up. Maybe that is not long enough to learn any bad habbits. Also note, even though I ran my car on 100 octane most of it's life, I did not street drive it on 840 mode, although it was available.

Congrats that’s a really nice color and a really good price.

What's the plan for this car. Leave it stock or are you going to modify it?

Nice! Is it a regular body car? As someone with a lot of Demon seat time, I can't wait to hear your impression of the Redeye.

I don't see the $6k wide body upgrade so looks like it.

NICE! Now you can race without anybody accusing you of cheating because you changed the tires. Glad you’re still in it!!

that order form is for a standard body with cloth interior. Minimal options.

Congrats! That's barely a step down from your Demon, and you'll be able to run it balls out in stock form, like you want to without getting kicked off the track for going 9s. Excellent choice, hope to see you post up times in the Redeye 1/4 mile thread. Also cool to see you order it in standard body form!

Best case will be about 5 weeks. It is an ordered car. If there are no holds on any of the parts needed it might be assigned a VIN and scheduled for build right away. I will post on the status once I know.......

Congrats that’s a really nice color and a really good price.

What's the plan for this car. Leave it stock or are you going to modify it?
Should be about $11,500 off sticker and since I know the owner (he orderd it for me) there will not be any funny buisness as far as Tax, Licence and Doc fees.

I think I am going to leave it stock and just run the crap out of it. More passes = Faster. Carlyle Racing gave me a real good price on a set of Billet Specialties Win Lite Drag Pack wheels and I will order Hoosier LW tires as soon as the car is built and in transit. I will be pulling the Pass seat and then I will finally have to make MYSELF a bypass harness for the Airbag light! LOL Drain the Washer bottle. Pull the sway bar. Maybe wrap the hood Black. Demon Race Air Filter (I already have prepped and ready to go) naturally. As you know I am not into gutting the interior but I may pull the trunk carpet and I am going to look into a Kirkey race seat for the driver and possibly LW Brake Rotors. But not sure I want to drop the coin for those items.

I was going to order a Scat Pack 1320 Drag Pack one seat. That car would be cheaper and it would hook on pretty much any tire and any prep. But he was unable to order one. The ability is not in the system yet. I really was on the fence on this. So the power Dollars becoming available and the uncertaintly of WHEN I would be able to order a 1320 sealed the deal.

Now I have to worry about hooking the Redeye. If it does not hook reliably on the Hoosier 28/10.5 R17 Drag Bracket Radial then it will be the MT ET Street R 315/50R17 tire. I already know how to do a nice job of taking down that rib to make that tire fit. But I am not going to do that unless I have to.
