I think you guys are forgetting the Road Runner and Superbee in the past was pretty much a sticker car. You could get the exact same drivetrain in a plane jane Sattelite or Cornet. Same as right now. And these modles DO have performance mods. One has a Drag Mode that is not available in the scat pack. Also 315/40R18 Drag Radials that are not available on the Scat Pack.

I'll say it again, what "sticker package" car from the Gen III models is even remembered today? Inaugural Edition? I see those out baking in the sun with the stripes peeling off. Yellow Jacket special edition.....they're just used cars now. Even the holy grail 2008 SRT limited edition numbered Challengers only gonna be available in Hemi Orange one year cars are just "used cars" now and many paid ADM for them. I guess people get wrapped up in the "specialness" that marketing wants you to believe.

Although I have grown tired of the endless bitching in all these threads, I pretty much have to agree with this. A lot of these cool special modles will be forgotten years from now and likely not appreciate.

Another one that gets me is the Electric Charger. So many are put off about the car making noise. It's a chambered exhaust. They have had those in the past. Who saiys it HAS to be a noise from the engine? Who wrote that rule? And, here is the biggie...........What is the alternave? SILENCE? F That! . . . . . . . I would MUCH rather that car be screaming when it goes by me at WOT than make no noise at all . . . . . . like a TESLA.

It's fun to make fun of these cars and look at Dodge like WTH are you thinking though Having some mechanical additions like the drag mode features is a good thing and these models should have all had something special like that to set them a part IMO.

I'm not in to the electric motors have exhaust idea. Dodge marketing told me that was their plan at CDM and I told them they'd be laughed off the internet if they did that. The electric car does still have mechanical items on it though and they could certainly find a way for one of those items to make an actual mechanical sound. I mentioned something like cross cut gear sounds in my video on the Daytona. Comments seemed to like that idea, but not everyone wants to hear it so it'd have to be a sport mode or something that could be turned off and on somehow. I'm envisioning a straight cut gear on the side of the electric motor shaft that gets engaged when enabled and gives you a mechanical sounds that would actually change with motor RPM.
