I don't know if this video has been posted already. These guys go pretty overboard. They took over 600lbs off of the Hellcat. 666lbs to be exact.

It's going too far for me😮.
I have issues with myself when I remove the rear seat. 😃
My 10.37's were run with 120lbs out including the wheels 500lbs more would be interesting. Not enough to do that to my car, but interesting.
That would make a locked ecu stock power car run in the 9's or real close.🤔

I say we all help you take everything apart for one track weekend then we will help you put it all back together just to see that 9 second pass would be worth it .

Kinda highlights the advantages of starting with a stripper if you want to get serious about racing.

Regardless that is very informative. I bet they could find that 13lbs in a pin on glass/carbon hood. And then carbon doors and so on.

I was grabbing $1 bills...then I saw you were talking about racing..... :p

Would you set a code by using v6 front struts? No adaptive suspension electronics on the v6 struts. That is the problem with the Viking drag shocks in the rear.

If you where to go this far and then do the carbon stuff your talking about you would probably have a 3500lb hellcat. Maybe less? That would be insane. Plus if you would still have warranty. You would just have to spend all weekend putting everything back in. Too crazy for me.

I removed 400 lbs but non intrusive and still comfortable on the street . Mind you I'm including the race wheels and tires and I still have swaybars lol I believe I can get my car to 4250 lbs race weight including me in the car.

How did you get 400 off? Lighter wheel/tires. Lighter exhaust. Lighter battery. Lighter front and rear crash bars. Lighter seat and other seats removed. Lighter brake rotors. Then what?

I got a set of demon calipers so I got the RB front rotors . That allowed me to run a 17inch from wheel . I pulled 105lbs just in front wheels, tires and brakes .
The rear seat delete is worth 48 lbs
Remove all the trunk stuff is 30 lbs
Light weight battery 25-30 lbs ( depends on model )
Rear rotors 10lbs
Rear wheels 10 lbs
Race seats 100 lbs
Pulleys 5 lbs
Trans crossmember 4 lbs
Light weight sway. Bars 20 lbs
This is off the top of my head

Can you use the smaller demon calipers with the full sized rb rotors? or did you down size on the rb rotors also? what about the front light weight and rear light weight crash bars? I heard in a low speed accident more damage will be done. but in a high speed accident, may it not happen, it is irrelevant.

No you have to use the 360mm rotors ( hellcat is 390mm)
I seen those crash bars. On a race car for sure . On my street car I'm not going to do it . For 20 lbs per end I'm not sure if its worth the risk to me . I would go carbon fiber parts first

For me the the smaller front brake package works just fine on the street and the occasional drag strip pass . I also have 2 seat from a 2008 viper that I had in my shop from another project so I used them . They are 40 lbs each VS the factory seats which are 80 lbs and 60 lbs . There are lighter seats out there if you want .
