The minute you referred to toe heel maneuver...his mind reverted to those ballroom dance classes his future father in law made him take before the wedding..
I used to street race a vet in Manassas, VA who lost both legs. He was an army truck driver in Vietnam and ran over a mine. They were amputated at the crotch. He used to run his 1971 429 Ram Air drag pack with a 1”x1” stick duct taped to the brake pedal and one to the gas pedal. He stood in his seat. He was an awesome racer. He has had hot cars all his life and has been married at least three times. As far as I know, he still has a blown 37 Ford and lives near Sanford, FL.
There's a guy who runs a Dart with a small block regularly at OSW who is an amputee. He unhooks, hooks up his exhaust at the track and does all of his own work. He runs 11.8s and is quite competitive. Nice guy.
I have no idea where this is going...
Ya know, a few years ago, about 50 hours out of a RIGHT hip replacement, what I did? I got in a 2015 Hellcat and drove the shit out of it going to dinner! Yes, I used the right foot for BOTH pedals. Yes, the surgeons have looked at me after several of these types of surgeries and shake their heads. No shrinks for me! I am certified crazy and nothing helps.
