That is good to know since I already ordered the belt. Haven't read anything about the dowels. You wouldn't know the size and length needed? I think Ace Hardware would have them.
I got my dowels from Fastenal website. I think they are 8mm wide. Let me do some digging through my pictures to see if I saved any pics of par numbers.

You got lucky dude i found an old email from when I purchased them from fastenal.size is M8 X 24MM.

Part number from fastenal is
0128618. You’ll need two of them.

If you need help bleeding the IC coolant when you put it back together hit me up. I learned a great trick from someone here on how to do it without having to worry about air pockets.

You would think they would include them with kit.
Maybe just put it here how to do it. I'm sure someone will need it. I saw there is a plug at the back

You can mess with the bleeder in the back of the supercharger but with this method there is no need to.

just pinch the hose I have pointed to here with the red arrow BEFORE you start the car for the first time After the install.

By doing this you will force the coolant along with whatever air was introduced into the system to go right to the overflow bottle where it can escape.

Im other words, the coolant coming out of the supercharger is where all the air is going to be. By pinching the hose you send that air right to the overflow bottle instead of down into the IC pump.

Top off the fluid after you let it idle And cool off for a little while Then, take it for a drive and monitor the IC coolant for a week or so to make sure it doesn’t go below the level.

hope that makes sense.

if my thinking is flawed please someone correct me, I won’t get offended.

this is the way I did it and it worked like a charm.

After that initial retorque, mine have been fine.

Yes, I have specifically checked them.
I should recheck mine & the lid bolts too.

I didn’t think you’d find them at ACE.
by the way, I should recheck the torque on my bolts again.
anyone remember off the top of their head what the torque value is?
I have it saved in my phone somewhere, cant Seem to find the picture with the torque pattern.

FYI: While these are the values I used as well, I have seen a specific set of values (lower...) for the FI Spacer installation. I do not know what the source is, although I would presume F.I.??? Nor do I know if they are appropriate.

Surprised the kits don't come with them. Figure they have the dowels for a reason. I received my dowels today, if just the spacers would get here now

So the 24mm dowels will go into s/c through spacers & into the head , how much will be in the s/c & head ? … about 7mm on each side of spacers ?
Just wondering how deep each hole is ?

Not sure since I have not taken mine off yet. Was thinking they may be able to be longer but just following what Alain said he ordered. They just need to be long enough to locate the blower. How think are the spacers?

I got cha , I didn't do the dowels , I was one of the first ones to do spacers , I haven't had any issues but I thought if I ever take it off again I might do the dowels but it seems real hard to take the stock ones out , hope that's not more work than is really necessary ?

If it is working fine that it really doesn't matter. Just a little more insurance the blower is straight but there may not be much play anyway. As far as removing them, we will see

i was one of the first people to get the kit when it first came out and yes, no one was talking about these dowels Back then. The replacement dowels should be included with the kit, they see very inexpensive !!

I forget exactly how much of the replacement dowels stick out from the spacers.

if I remember correctly the spacers are 10mm thick.

the new dowels are 10mm longer than the OEM ones So they anchor into the motor The same exact length as the OEM dowels do.

prepare yourself for battle, removing the OEM dowels will be tough. Patience, a good set of vice grips and ingenuity are key.

In my opinion, it is worth the hassle to do.
