And its wrecked? Jeezus....

Oh, and with a blazing 4.1 0-60 with a tail wind and a 12.6 in the quarter...

Gotta remember those #s are from over 20+ years ago when the m5 and e55 amg took nearly 5 seconds to get to 60, I believe even the vipers were mid to high 4 second cars.

4.1 @12.6 was incredibly fast, now a fkn ford explorer on a tune can run that with no problem 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Not necessarily. Came really close to buying a brown factory slant nose conversion back in 1988 or therabouts.

This is the breakdown

Gt anything = race car/track car

Anything else = street car

Turbo anything is the fastest trim

911 = flagship model

718 = mini me 911 that normal people can push to it's limits

If that's too complex here's it is simpler.

911 turbo = car you want for the streets
911 gt = car you want for the race track or to flex
718 gt = car you can actually use at the track wthout being a pro driver.
That's super helpful. Makes it much simpler to understand the models.

A slower Corvette
Detuned Carrera NA flat 6 (the carrera has turbos)
Its a GT car so its going to ride rough. A track purpose car with just over 400hp and maybe weighs a tick over 3,000lbs

Those who have them say they are better cars than the 911s. However, Porsche is very protective of the 911 and the Cayman will never be "better"

Also, because it is not a 911, I don't think its as loved. Many available in the 120k range. Previous GT4s are under 100k now.

I'm sure its a riot to drive

Thanks. I'm sure that it's not for cruising long distance then.

There are so many Porche models it'll make your head spin. I had to sorta take a step back and jot down "must haves".

600ish HP
All Wheel Drive
Nice interior

That helped frame up the 911 turbo for me. I drove a GT4 (I think) at a track event and it was NA, handled like a go cart, and sounded amazing, but had nylon straps for door handles etc. I get saving weight but c'mon lol.
hey now
I like those gimmicky things LOL

Depends on how much beating you want to take.
Also depends on the seats. The buckets probably not. But i think these also had 18 way adjustable seats. Those are comfy.

If you want an NA motor 718, look at the Boxster or GTS 4.0, basically its the GT4 NA 414hp engine but in the street version of the 718 Cayman. The Boxster is the vert/roadster.

For 120k, i'd want the 911. But that is me.

I agree with the 911 for this kind of money.

I'm sitting in a parking lot and there's a 911 Carerra next to me.

For long distance driving, I'd take a regular Cayman, not the GT4. Sips gas, handles great, fun to drive.

Actually, I liked her normal Cayman better than the new GT4 anyway. Never did care for the clothes drying rack on the rear lid.

Clothes drying rack, lol. It's exactly why I never dug on the end of the line ENORMOUS winged Aero Vipers. Give me a Gen 3-5 RT10 or GTS minus the wing thank you very much. Infinitely cleaner look...

No, exactly the 911 is way more comfortable. You can daily a 911 carrera/turbo, etc etc.

Gt4 is a track car, it's not that comfortable and the suspension is rough but it handles like it's on rails.

I like the gt cars but they are more track toys or flex toys aka weekend cars.

Plus they hold their value much better than the street cars.

Hey, 4pac, I figured you'd be more of a Taycan person. Could you actually live with a 2-door car?

Comparable 911 to this (gt3) is in the mid 200s, almost 2.5x.
