I used search bar, nothing came up... looking to hook up battery tender. My Vett has actual 12v plug to insert tender. Do we have that on our Challengers? Thank youđź‘Ť

If you are referring to a cigar lighter socket, now known as a power port, the one in the console stays powered. The one in front of the console can be changed by moving the fuse, at least on both of the Challengers and one Charger I had/have.

Why not plug the battery tender into the wall?

For me I guess it depends on how long the car will sit. If it is going to sit for the winter, I pull the battery and put it in a warm place thus not putting a tender on it

It plugs into wall for power. Then you have to find your charging point. All I have seen is under hood by fuse block, and directly to battery in truck. No designated trickle charge 12v port like in my Vetts. As stated.

I put the red and black clamps directly on the battery in the trunk, close the lid on the cable, plug it in, throw the car cover on it. Stays like this all winter.

From the Deltran Battery Tender Plus! instructions:

Connect POSITIVE (RED) clip from battery charger to POSITIVE (POS, P, +) ungrounded post of battery. Connect NEGATIVE (BLACK) clip to vehicle chassis or engine block away from battery.

Also, Deltran describes the Junior as being for "motorcycles, ATVs, etc." Probabky best to use the Plus! on a car.

Batteries self discharge, so even disconnected they can benefit from a tender.
I use the BT Jr. on 3 vehicles, they keep the batteries charged even with the parasite drain from all of the vehicles electronics.

I have a battery tender I bought years ago . I connect it under the hood . I put the small povitive clamp on the back hot positive side connector. The negitive clamp on the grounding stud . Both are on the passenger side . I leave the hood open . I use it once every two or three weeks . I just don't like leaving something electrical on all the time . Mine is a 2019 redeye challenger . I don't do this but for long term you could remove the plug air intake cover on the passanger side . The one that looks like the open drivers side air intake . You could run the line cord through the opening . There is room to put the battery tender under the hood .This way the hood would be fully closed . Make sure you disconnect it and remove it before starting it .
