Would replacing the stock HC hood with an oem Demon hood be up-badging?

No replacing the HC badges with Demon, no adding the wide-body flares, no Demon rims, etc. Just a hood swap…up badging or no?

After looking at both since purchasing my Hellcat, I think the hood on my Cat looks better. I have an unopened, large, mopar box... containing a Demon hood.
It'll sit, till I decide what to do with it.

I like this hood, better....

No. I like both hoods and if I had the space, I'd have both and swap them once every year or so but, I don't.

The hood provided a supposed performance upgrade which is why it was designed as such.
Even gave it a name "Air Grabber"

It's not an upbadge.
Putting a Demon badge on a Scat Pack, thats upbadging. Unless you actually put a Demon engine in the thing.

I used to think so but all bets are off since seeing an SXT with a Hellcat hood

I put a carbon fiber demon hood on my Challanger.
in my opinion it looked 10 times better. Sold the stock hood the next day. 👍
Put it on for a day or 2, to see if you like it.
