Don’t compete anymore, too tired to get up at 5:30. Have fun at recreational shoots. Some of us old guys started shooting shoot airguns indoors, like cub scouts! Just got a new front aperture for my Feinwerkbau, here is a 3 shot group at 10y. I still have the firearms for defense, but the airguns are for fun!
You can shoot indoors with them a lot easier. ;)

My kids are young because I waited before having them. They're on learning the actions and mechanisms at this point of the firearms, and have been blasting it with air rifles for several years (good way to teach them safety and muzzle discipline). And yes, I'm one of those guys who has dummy ammo so they can get really hands on without any risk of a negligent discharge. My daughter is pretty damn fast with my pump action shotguns.

Anyway, a while back before my knees went out on me over 2 days one weekend they put more than 3000 air rifle rounds down range.

I shoot 1 steel match per year. I’ll be shooting my S&W .45acp 625 this year with full moon clips. Sorry for the thread drift. IMG_5197.jpeg

That is a nice revolver. Is that the factory grip?

S&W revolvers are expensive, I had many including a 625, but they are unquestionably the best bang for the buck! Especially the N frames. Change springs, use Federal primers, and you have a super accurate competition gun. I just sold my 627 V-Comp, here is what it would do.

Yer a dead eye....
I did a lot of various competitions but I have to admit, High Power rifle was the most addicting. Nothing more cool than hitting an 11" 10 ring at 600y with an AR with iron sights.

Did swap my springs out, added spurless jeweled hammer, and only use Federal primers for my revos. Also have a 627 V-comp! Whats not to love about an 8 shot .357?

Please stop, you will make me regret selling the V-Comp. I sold to a friend/competitor, and his son is starting to blossom in Steel Challenge, so it is in good hands.
