I wood have to say, if it came from the factory with an Hellaphant engine it,, it is stock. Spec sheet shows it it's f--ing stock. How hard is that to understand. Even a dummy like me can under stand this conversation.

When you see the discussion on FB you really have to wonder how much of people's lives they leave open to interpretation.

Somebody needs to take a definitive objective stand on the matter of what stock is, and stop trying to give eachother a reassuring reach-around supporting their individual definitions and agendas. FWIW, it is okay to be non-stock.

FB definitions change by who did what and where, as much as how much of a variation there is to being stock. Again changes by who and where.
100% Stock is as delivered in my books.
The term stock has since included a tire or a wheel and tire, and stretched all the way to leaving only the driver seat in.🤷‍♂
I always mention stock power and then mention what I did to stray from stock. Yet I still get called out on FB so I haven't bothered posting the runs from the day we met or the weekend after. It isn't worth the time and discussions that ensue.
The one over there that has the biggest issue with my times as not stock (even though I only said stock power)
has a CAI and judging by the sound in videos, has exhaust mods also.
They also posted the stock record for a RE that had one seat. Yet I got blasted for weight reduction. Which was exactly like when we met, air compressor still in and and all.
So stock depends on lots more than simply stock. Oh and I got told 100% stock HC is with a 17" drag radial. LMAO
But then didn't accept my times in that set up.
I have no problem with variants of stock, just be honest about it and don't change definitions daily.
I always use 100% stock to be as delivered so that others can argue the rest.

I doubt you will get every one to agree on one definition especially on FB.

As we've seen in this thread, the Stock Power thread, and multiple threads before people (and I use that term loosely) are going to talk around, deflect, defame, or run away from the subject as a whole. It stinks of cowardice and a total lack of character. But, hey - they are the one's who have to live with themselves.

Also, as I mentioned in the other thread @moparjim - the Turbo Buick world needed classes and rules to deal with the requirement to standardize the record runs because all Turbo Buick owners are notorious liars and cheats (and it took years for them to get on the same page). I think that's why we enjoy each other's company, my tur-bro.

• Safety equipment (oh wait, that's not stock from the factory...) major fucking eyeroll emoji
• Drag race mods like DRs/slicks/DSs that would hurt either the car or you or spectators, etc etc etc
• weight reductions of a higher order excluding floor mats and amplifiers, hell not every HC even has the damn amplifiers, does that mean that they aren't stock??? (so things like changing fenders to CF, poly, exchanging bumpers, removing sway bars, etc)
• Tunes (eng/trans)
• Exterior power mods (CAIs, pulleys, injectors, etc)
• Fundamental powertrain mods/changes/adds (At this point you have to ask yourself is your car still "X" model?)

Far from complete, or inclusive, and everybody should remember where the name "Hellcat" came from, FIRST, it was the name of the ENGINE, NOT the car... so if you yank the IHI off and replace with a 3rd party, do you even own a HC anymore???
