Baily has been doing great with all of his cars so far. First 8 speed turbo to go in the 7's is huge!!! Glad to see Z get his issues ironed out and make a great pass.

There are a couple Dodge Challengers in the Street Car class. I don't have a current q sheet for that but I do for the Heavyweight class.

I was checking out the possibility of running the heavyweight class for next year. With the turbos I would be competitive with the mid seven second guys. According to the rules for that class I wouldn’t be allowed. My car doesn’t have a current registration because I had to cancel the registration to insure it with Laris. To be insured as a race car for a stated value, they won’t allow it to be registered for the street. Second…. Twin turbos can’t be larger than 72mm. Mine are 76’s. You can run nitrous with 72’s but no 76’s allowed 🙄. Oh well

I contacted them about insuring my car a few years ago. They said they would only insure it at national events nowhere else.

I went with a different company that would insure it wherever the car was except between the water box and finish line.

My car is insured for loss or damage for anywhere or anything except water box to the turn off from the track. In the pits or the trailer or the shop. My concern is possible total loss due to fire or theft of the truck with the car in the trailer. All possible for example over night on the road. The combined value of the car and trailer with the golf cart is $250k. Laris is a bargain compared to stated value insurance anywhere else. I wish I didn’t have to cancel my registration but I don’t drive it on the street anymore so I figured oh well. TX2K has some strange rules. They don’t allow Mustangs in the class. Even if they do make weight 😂

I had the same coverage with a different company. For some reason Laris didn't want to insure me. I couldn't register mine either. Stated value on car, trailer and contents.

They had no problem covering the cost when a dead tree messed up 2 panels during a hurricane.

There’s been 7 rounds of qualifying completed so far. They’re going to try to do one or two more tomorrow if weather permits. The late shows will need it if they want to have a chance at racing on Sunday.
