Oil is trading at a new high being the world economies are coming back. And OPEC is strategizing to get back record profits due to the losses the Pandemic incurred to them. And the fixation on alternative energy is shifting the future oil exploration as well. Many big oil companies are now devoting more money and time to future energy over current energy. Which only means a tighter supply is playing out as the world changes direction from oil.

Oil Price Hits Pandemic High as Investors Bet on Green Energy
Some investors are wagering that Wall Street’s preference for green energy will depress spending on oil extraction, setting the stage for supply shortages and higher fuel prices.

The bets come as money managers line up trillions of dollars for wind, solar and other renewable programs and expenditures on oil projects tumble. The drop in fossil-fuel spending is becoming so severe that energy companies could struggle to quench the world’s thirst for oil, some analysts say.

Crude is still expected to remain in high demand over the next decade to make transportation fuels and petrochemicals used for plastics and other household products. U.S. consumption has surged lately following the worst of the coronavirus pandemic, and output cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries have given prices a further boost.

There will soon be these price increases on nearly everything. Printing trillions devalues the dollar. The resulting inflation is in fact a regressive tax. If the CPI was calculated as it was in the seventies, we would already at double digit.

I posted this is another thread but I'll repost here since it's fitting. Filling up almost exactly halfway between PHX and LAS just over a week ago. Maybe some Summer holiday price gouging going on but still...

Biden shut down future oil exploration in this country, so now we are going to have to take it up the ass from opec ,and pay the price!

Yep, that is what they are wanting everyone to believe huh? Problem is they can’t change factual history. Absolutely nothing else happened during that time period to the petroleum industry. Hope they remember the election was in Nov 2020....then.....

And you don't understand market delay. lol
I already knew this was going to happen even if the con artist got elected.
There were so many indicators that this was going to happen way before the election along with outside hackers that shut down your western supplier of fuel after the election.

LOL Always blaming the Government for everything when it is mostly the Corporation's and Share Holders that are to blame because they want to make big money on their stocks.

A lot of the problem is government Bullshit, and their massive amount of taxes added to every gallon. Not sure what it is in other states, but in Oregon about 60 cents per gallon is just taxes alone.

Most of the problems are the people themselves but always want to blame the system for everything even though some in the system are crooks like Trump was. Just look at his past with all of the people and companies he and his family ripped off over his lifetime along with his father and grandfather. We have high taxes as well but with the greed of corporations owned by everyday people that do all of the infrastructure that we want or need then the taxes must go up to pay for this greed. As soon as they get a government contract they charge several times more for the work then normal out of greed. When was the last time that you even looked at how much they charge to do a mile of roadway. And that's just one small part of it.
