On the street it would be a handful to try to keep up from a dig. Especially with the tires, suspension, and tuning available back in the day. Likely very impossible for anything newer than 2000s tech could stand a chance.

How long ago did you have that thing?
I always think back to when I had mine, and there werenât any foxbodies on the street that could trap 160⌠so from a roll, weâd all get gapped. Plenty of us in the 8s and 9s⌠but we werenât trapping that high.
The scary part is any fool with $130 Gâs can buy one of these and think heâs Mario Andretti. CC said the car was scary and thatâs coming from someone whoâs driven home fairly high hp cars. What happens when itâs some clown who doesnât know jack about driving and only bought it to be cool starts showing off? Probably another Mustang videođł
They can make them 7 second cars for all I care, theyâve got no soul. Like a battery powered watch vs. a self winding mechanical. Iâll never own one.

I have not seen a plaid trap 160, I have seen 150.
I had my 87 from '94-'13, 19 years. Just wasn't driving it much and bought a '13 mustang so thought it was time to move on

They do trap 150s⌠but they can do that on the street too, which is why I was thinking youâd need at least a 160trap to get away from one on the street. At the track, any well tuned 8 second car will beat it, but the street is a different animal.
My stock Red Eye Challenger (with MT Street Rs) got beat on the track by a Plaid. I jumped out ahead by 2 cars off the line on the way to a 10.5 ET. He passed me by at about 60ft and kept going to a 9.30 ET. He was way out ahead by the finish line. Those Plaids are FAST!!!
Itâs a reference to a pretty (really) popular movie, written and directed by Mel Brooks called âSpaceballsâ. It was a spoof on Star Wars and is a cult classic⌠full of great stuff.
Star Wars was using warp speed⌠Spaceballs took that idea and ran with it. Previous versions of the Model S had a mode called Ludicrous, and there is only 1 thing faster than Ludicrous⌠Plaid.
