OK, let me get this straight: 50 HP for $11.5k in a 4500lb. car. More money than sense.
That’s what I said. As a shop turn him
On to a better bang for the buck. That job had to be 8g in labor

I’m all about modding things. But I tell anyone with a scat pack asking to mod or buy a hellcat. I always say a hellcat. Widebands vs narrow bands is worth the difference alone

Cam kit from Texas Speed is $1000
Then you need the MDS delete kit which can be another $1000 or more.
Could require pulling heads, so now its very labor intensive.
Injectors are $1100
Headers are $1500
$4,600 just in those parts. Figure another $2000 if he completed the exhaust system
So half the cost is in the hard parts.
Pulling the heads to install a cam/mds delete etc.

Actually doesn't seem that bad. Should have thrown on some aftermarket heads at that point to really wake up the car.

Stock, don't scat packs make 420ish?
So 85whp gain isn't bad.

Unless you go really nuts
Twin turbos, built engine, dominator/terminator ecu, turbo 400, 9" etc

I'd probably start with a Scat or RT at that point if that was my end goal.

IDN bro I think the customer is well aware of what he paid for and got. Lotta dudes just dont have the money for a Hellcat upgrade.

The shop offered him a service and considering that shop has some fast ass cars with lots of TT kits and Whipples im sure the blower option was offered and most likely recommended but that would require a built motor and some ppl dont have the money for that so they settle for this.

Satera is also the ONLY Hellcat shop that offers true Flexfuel where other shops just infer data..... In fact, several top tuners have now got on board his Flexfuel program cause he's the only one that offers it!

The shop gave him a list of parts and labor and the dude gave them the ok to do it. The shop has many options bro just cause this customer decided to go this route doesnt mean Satera should be ashamed of anything smh. Making the ASSuption that Satera didnt offer him any other options would be wrong.

I spoke with Jeremy several times and the dude offered me every single option under the sun and tried talking me out of most shit I wanted to do so inferring that the dude is shady would be wrong.

Is this the best option for him? I dont think so but ur post sounds like Satera scammed this dude and didnt offer his any other optiuons. That would be misleading bro......

If you go off all data or even factory times he’s charging 254 a hour labor that’s the part I’m getting at. That’s includes cam r and r and head r and r.
if you don’t think that’s nuts 🥜 than I’m doing the wrong job.
I know my car is slow. So I’m not one to talk

I mean I kind of see the point. think about the people with Hellcats, to build and engine to run low 8's on boost you have to spend 20k. So to go from high 8's to low 8's is 20k.

6 tenths at 8 seconds is blower plus a bottle and possibly more
