It's my understanding that here in Utah castle doctrine extends to vehicles--if you are in it at the time--so that covers car jackings at least.

But is it bucket truck proof? Asking for a French museum.

When my son saw the reinforcements I did to my garage he said "Eh, they will get a chopper and lift it out".

In TN they've extended car jacking to deadly force and covers a 25 foot perimeter around the vehicle. Still potentially a heavy court case regardless though but technically legal.

@Air’d outSRT how are you flying with a firearm?
Declare it at checkin. Fly to San Antonio in the morning to train a new shop to install IGLA and will have one with me as well.

I bought the IGLA system with drone mobile GPS tracking a year ago and it’s the only reason I was willing to leave the car on the trailer parked in a hotel parking lot in PA for two nights earlier this month. Locking hitch and backed in against the woods plus the IGLA armed, I figured I should be good and I was!
Just be aware IGLA is useless on a trailer. They will just steal the tow vehicle with it. If its a diesel ram then it will be gone in a few seconds

Just check it in your luggage. Can’t be on you or in your carry-on for obvious reasons, but in the suitcase is fine.

Ya, that's where I at least have the Drone Mobile GPS tracking as another layer.

I'd be worried a firearm would come up missing in a checked bag. Do they tag and track them somehow? I never knew about this somehow.

I have flown with 25k in pistols. Document them when checking them and if lost file a claim. I also have $200,000 in firearm insurance as well so if lost, damaged, house fire, stolen ect its all covered. Flying to Vegas in 2 months with a Barrett M82A1. Stress gets high but not much else to do to get them there. You can track your bags in the airline apps too. At the airport right now, this is trip 50 since January on a plane. No issues. Have another Saturday, another the 3rd ect ect.

I've read of some people using firearms just so they can declare a bag to protect other valuables. Some may have even done it w/o even including a firearm in the bag--but not sure how feasible that is.

Yeah, I find and train shops to install IGLA products. Someone has to do it I guess. Will be passing it off to some of the regional distributors though like I did with @fumanchu182 when he was setup and trained. Headed to San Antonio right now for one, then Saturday to Colorado Springs for one.

If you declare a firearm you have to open the bag and show its in a locked box. Some airlines make you open the box as well. Delta for example zip ties your bag so you can’t open it knowing damn well you can’t fly with a knife to remove it all. You can fly with nail clippers though 😉

Im cool and calm. Already have a hood and a bumper secured. Amazing how fast your training comes back. I ran outside smiling at the glee of sending them to jesus
Man, just seeing this, sorry that happen to you.
Wish you would have arranged that meeting with Jesus for them.
