Really scared myself in the Hellcat. Time to move on?

One of the many things I like about the Hellcat is that I can enjoy the car at the road legal speeds. Stick the cruise control on at 70 mph. Listen to the burble and the supercharger whine when I accelerate. I don't feel the need to drive it in crazy mode. I own and have owned cars that you only get a buzz from when really getting into it and in the UK with so many unmarked police cars and speed cameras it really is a lottery to keep you license if you want to press on. I took the car out for a run yesterday for the first time in must be 4 months. Had half a tank of gas that I put fuel stabilizer in and wanted to burn through it and fill it with a fresh tank of VPower. The missus kept saying. Can't you go any faster. I was going fast enough. I said what's the rush we don't have to be anywhere soon. I would say keep the Hellcat and enjoy it as I cannot think of another car that you can feel very chilled out in and can destroy most cars on the road that you will come across if you really feel the need to.

I will do dumb stuff, on occasion, but only where I am absolutely certain that I am putting no one else at risk. Seeing as the CDL is your life/income, and depending on how bad you were behaving, only you can make the call.

Here, I've gotten people off of speeding tickets where they were cruising at 110 in a 75 mph zone.

its the threat of going to jail that's made me tone it down a bit. they don't mess around these days. I still pick my spots occasionally to open it up a bit but never go past 4th gear anymore.

Now I'll bring a dust mask, and tape a note to the side window that reads "I am self quarantined".

Maybe, just maybe, the cop won't be quite as eager to have me roll down the window and hand him my licence and insurance (while coughing a bit)?

Not necessarily. In some states, its only specific infections like TB, HIV, etc... that will yield a felony rap, while something else or just being a dick yields a misdeameanor (up to 1000 dollar fine and a year in the hoosgaw).

If I don't drive this car like I stole it once a week I might just die inside. Haven't driven a car on a daily basis that couldn't hit 0-60 in under 4.5 since I was a Sophmore in high school, ironically the first car I drove was an e60 m5. If you respect the car it will treat you right, but if you drive it like a mustang driver what can you expect 🤷‍♂️

Funny thing, When I put down a 100 ft black stripes in front of the guys in the Bowtie shop they feel compelled to put some stripes over mine!!

Same with the Ford shop...
