I cringe on tire purchases these days.

I remember back in the day(late 80's), I could get 4 BFG AT's balanced and installed for $500. And THAT was alot of money for me in my late teens.

500 bucks now gets you a tire and a half...maybe. 😳

Awesome! I've been looking at these tires too, to eventually replace the 555r's I currently have. Let us know what you think and if you can, compare it to the 555r!

Cars were cheaper than to, but not nearly as fast 😂.

They look like a mix between the 05s, g2s and the Rs.... Badass. I hear they’re rated a little higher speed too. Let us know what you think

One side mounted.. did it for a comparison to the factory PZ4 summer PZero. Width is just shy of 1" wider when mounted on the factory 20x11. Height about 3/4" taller. Here are some pics. Driver side is factory, Passenger is the 555RII. You can see the width difference as the tire matches up to the rock guards.

I wonder how these tires will be compared to the MT street SS Drag radial? Now I’m on the fence on witch ones to buy.

Back when I only operated one performance ride, it sucked. First few years of the C5(97-02), it was just GY run flats. No other choices. $1500 for all 4.

In 03(I think) GY came out with the GS-D3 non rf. $800 for all 4. Night & day.
But now with 3 go-fast rides it becomes part of the capital budget.

And of course track tires only and you can be in the poorhouse pretty quick. 😂

To the op, I'm not a huge fan of green cars, but THAT green looks sweet. 👍

Enjoy those 555's. 🍻

Mine scheduled to arrive Monday 5/11, they will be replacing 315 NT05R’s
860 wheel, 11.3 street 1/4’s now and 3.3-3.5 0-60 with M6
We shall see soon if it’s better then the same size NTO5R on the street soon
At the track I use 315/50-17 MT Street R’s , I’ll compare the 2 at the track as well soon as tracks open.

How do all you guys feel that the DR's are for street driving? I've never run DR's on the street and the only time I ever ran them was on my SRT-10 Rams at the track. I never ran DR's on my Viper's and the RE is my first Hellcat. Currently running the Toyo R888R's on all four corners and they hook well, but I am still wanting more traction. Hoping these NT555RII's are enough traction gain over my current R888R's to peel off my current tires that still have a decent amount of tread left. Other thing that I'm a little concerned about is giving up cornering ability but I'm starting to think I should enjoy my Hellcat for what it is instead of being more focused on having it be good in all areas and simply enjoy it as a straight line beast. How bad or noticeable is it cornering with DR's on the back? Much appreciation in advance for anyone who can give a solid assessment!

I run DR’s exclusively on the street, found the NT05R to be the best for such so far from a dig and a roll, even better then a 315/50- 17 on the street at least (I’ve tried them, both new, both same day same surface within an hour of each other, NT05R best 1/4 best 0-60) I’m only a straight line guy with my cat so can’t comment on cornering ability with them out back. Can’t wait to try the 555R2, just wish I had a spare set of rims so I didn’t have to dismount my NT05r’s as their not even half worn yet.

The game changer for these 555RII is that they are W speed rated, are traction rated A, and have a 106 SL load rating. This means they have excellent rain traction and at our factory rated tire pressure of 32PSI, they have similar load capacity as the factory Pirellis. Super planted in high speed corners, and a 30MPH roll has zero wheel spin or hop.

I want to know more about the compound change. Anyone have some true dirt on this that is more than the marketing fluff?
