Remaining parts of the full 8 point cage are required to be welded in. To certify for 8.5.

@RGPIII very nice start. I had an SRT8 Challenger that started with the Roll ball and eventually had the parts welded onto it for an 8 point cage.
John, thought safety was highly important. When his goal became 8's he had his Top Cat installed with a custom Roll cage. I can't even imagine what the the cost would be to have one installed these days.
Leon Epling of Epling's Garage, started out just like you with using an RPM in his famous 007 Hellcat. Eventually he sold that and moved up to the 8 point cage!
I do think something is better than nothing at all.
I guess eventually you will need a welder.
