MFER-1 mod is plenty loud. No need for exhaust upgrade. Maybe some ear plugs though lol

I don't miss much from my 'Stang, but the Roush adjustable exhaust was the bomb !!

The mod went smooth.

Disconnect the battery.

Would add to hold valve when you remove the 3 nuts. The valve is loaded by the spring.

Once valve is removed, remove the spring and rotate the valve clockwise, toward the rear of the car. Safety wire the valve. Reinstall the valve body. Reinstall the 3 nuts.

Connected the battery started car and ran for 10 minutes with no codes.

I’ll get some sound later.

Thanks for input everyone.

Car is still quiet compared to my Hellcat but, the Redeye only has 440 miles 😉.

Hearing loss is no joke. Try needing two hearing aids. A lot of years on loud demolition and excavation sites, loud cars, loud music, firearms. Everyone wants to be the tough guy. I know I am being a Debbie downer but really think. Isn’t a stock Hellcat loud enough?

I did the MFER-1's (2016) along with the vibrant 1794's. I got a youtube vid if anyone wants to see it.

Noise is not so bad inside. After 15 years of working around jets, tinnitus really does suck.

Yea, 35 years around helicopters and it could be worse.

56 year old farmer here, rock guitar player, avid hunter and shooter, ex lineman, heavy equipment operator, and loud bikes. I actually have tinnitus in one ear from hunting as a kid mostly. Growing up in my day, ear plugs and sunblock weren't the happening thing lol. I actually have very good ears except for the tinnitus in the one ear. And started protecting them near 20 years ago. I had some nice attenuated fitted ear plugs made for the loud things I enjoy!

I have been running my Redeye with the MFER-1 for over 500 miles now. I LOVE mine.

Sounds good and love the plate!

My jeep plate is the same freedom plate but says IFGHT4R.

Really nice video, I appreciate the time you spent to make it. I might well end up going the same direction.

All very cool, but I still think it is idiotic that this set up does not allow you to control the exhaust. I'd gladly shit can the pathetic launch control and use the button for manual control to cycle through exhaust settings (with one "Auto" factory setting as well, where it functions as it does now).
