So when cleaning 6/8 as shown above I texted @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC and verified that the orings are rated for e85. Well good news they are, bad news. What is the gunk on the injector? Well long story short it is probably the shit e85 from royal farms cut with poor gasoline. 93 cleans the tar, im putting the injectors through my machine and then they go back in.

Clean new fluid before cleaning. Will post the after results.

Were they seated all the way?.... looks like they were seeping past the O-rings?
Or too much Vaseline or lube when they were first put in? (that's what she said)

None of the above, I have a fore fuel rail, there is only seat, nothing but seat.

Nothing seeped past the o-ring.

The article I linked explains a black tar substance that exists only on the intake side of the injector. It is due to a molecule in E85 that shouldn't be there if it was purchased from a good reputable source. I bought E85 from royal farms out of their flex pump. It was their recent blends at e70. However I have found an alternative source, a place near me has verified e85. In fact I was told tonight it tested at e92 so I'm about to load up tomorrow.

Eric was the 1st person I know of running e85. He also won the 1st drag week N/A small block in 2005

Yes I was googling around yesterday sent it to him and told him this guy knows his stuff. Eric does carbs but is prolly the most knowledgeable person on e85 I know.

Today was a good day, figured out that the winch I have doesn't even give a rats ass about pulling a land yacht up on it. Totally worth it IMO, I believe it was @Marc W that highlighted if you ain’t winching you’re doing it wrong.

Then when I get to the track. Absolutely demolish my personal PB in the 1/8th mile.


5.99 in the 1/8th feels so weird its like things slow down a little in the mind the faster you go. I did get to round two of eliminations but then got bounced by a ringer. The car is trending in the right direction. Shout out to @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC for making the trans sing. Feels good to have a good day. Am I a fast car now 😂?

Congrats! Is Capital an 1/8 mile track or was that just what they were doing yesterday?

For the bracket racing they were doing only 1/8th mile. I used it as an opportunity for learning to launch again with the second gear launch and a chance to win some money. On Friday they will be doing King of the hill. Thats the 1/4 action, however the 315 size might put me in big tire
