Yup, as first shown on 8-13.

Still don't think it prohibits someone to buy out of state and register one in a "forbidden" state. Except it'd be much harder to do in California.

I always buy out of state anyway and just about anything can be registered here. It's the people that only consider buying locally that'll have to change their thinking. Or buy something else.

With those winters? Sounds like Minnesota to me! Which is where I'm from so don't get me wrong, but this southwest hits different in a good way IMO!

So...just checked in with my local dealer, they believe NM is a CARB state and so that may mean we cannot order these at that price...at least locally anyway. @Jimmy N. I may need your contact for that dealer up in Utah or Idaho?

Funny they were like wow where did you get that info? And they were surprised prices were listed that low, and I'm like yeah do you know who Tim K is??? lol But I do like my local dealer so I only kid them in good humor.

Keep in mind that I recently registered my Daihatsu HiJet, and after that my "RePete". The Pete is now insured and registered as an RV, no wonder I like it here.

I'm not sure how many sales are lost by not offering these in CARB states, but manufacturers should have done this a long time ago. Let the folks that chose to live in those states deal with it and not impact the rest of us.

ChatGpt's explanation of current status of CARB is a bit confusing. It sounds like some of it has been blocked by EO but some of it still remains, and of course Newsom is challenging it in court and adjusting CARB rules to get around the EO. Freaking mess.

Kind of funny, so my friend at the dealer yesterday said we have a Durango coming in soon with a MSRP of $89k, wanna check it out? I mean I would rather pay $10k less in a couple months thank you very much...but I asked why can you get one now in a CARB state but you can't order one in two months??? He admitted he was kind of confused about it too and would ask some questions about it. I got @Jimmy N. to share his Utah connection so I got a back up plan!
