I'm running 305/45/17 mickey r's on the back.....I'm thinking changing over to 315/50/17 mickey r's. What would be the pros and cons? Would my et. come down with the taller tire?
305/45 are 28" the 315/50 are 29" I already have outlaw axle's and upgraded diff. the 305 just dont seem to have the consistency maybe the 315 with more sidewall may help.
Thanks

315s all day. If you have a 3.09 you’ll benefit from the 50 as well over the 45. If I don’t get around to a 15” conversion with the 315/60/15s I’ll be going with the 315/55/17s next. Taller tire is your friend

yes I do have the 3.09 diff. that pretty much answer's my question....I just wanted someone that ran them before I switched. I mean look at the prices of tires now a day 400 per tire. that a darn shame. thanks

1st time in the 9s I was having bad wheel hop. Put a 2.75 pulley on the car and went from 10.4 to 9.8. I only had 1 9.8 but most of the passes were wheel hop. Figured next time to the track I wouldn't be fighting this so went to 315s along with the AAD arms. Launches were way smoother. I think I lost about a tenth running 9.9s with the taller tire but traction is more important. I'm running 2.62 gears

That combo was e85 2.75 pulley and everything else stock with just a drag pack and AAD arms 4650 lbs 2000 DA

funny you mentioned that for the first time this weekend I had wheel hop but I let out before breaking something. But it didnt happen till I let my tire pressure to 21lbs. where most the time I run 24-25lbs. not a dead hook but very close. So I thought about airing them back up to 24 and made one more run and no wheel hop but it smoked the tires...but the track about as bad as I have ever seen it no prep what so ever. But I was about the 5th car in line early that morning and with good prep and at 24lbs. it launching pretty good well 1.48 60'

I would do the AAD arms but I dont have anyone around me that could live the car like it needs to be. I have now outlaw axles, poly bushing's for the cradle and diff. and have redeyes spindles in the rear and demon springs front and rear.I guess I could do the aad arms and just be sure to very close alignment to what I have? Because I know they send you different spacers/tabs for alignment or that what I have read.

I don’t have the AAD arms. See how the car drives first

it drives fine I had the alignment done after I installed all the bushings axle's and diff. so they just done a normal alignment so thats fine.I'm thinking about just getting the wheel hop eliminator kit just in case. I just think the tires were under inflated.

AAD arms are no big deal with the tabs. They come with 2, 4 and 6 I believe. 2 is suppose to be stock. Just put the 4s in then go to alignment shop. Based on where it is each shim for every number moves it about .24. You are looking for 0 to +25. Based on how it comes out you can figure out what you need if anything and make changes yourself

now I do believe Mr. Charles would let me be in there when it's done. So once they set up the equipment on the wheels. I can then see where it's at. Mr. Charles knows I dont let people work on my car....he would let me advise. And I do believe the AAD would be better than the wheel hop kit.

You can also buy the redeye knuckles for $600 which are zero camber knuckles. A lot cheaper than the AAD arms

I have the redeye spindle's on the rear now...but some reason I can remember if the camber knuckle's were with it.
