WTF....we've never had hail that bad here in WNY...that's down right scarry...

That's not even the really bad stuff

Out East of here, on rare occasion, they get the truly giant stuff.

Big enough to punch actual holes in people's yards, right through the sod, or tear siding off of your house. Houses can literally be destroyed, although that certainly is rare. Barns get beat out there too.

Our crew hasn't been to Sturgis for the rally since Covid...but the last two times we went...we got hail storms... not as bad as what you got...but bad enough..weather out west can be tricky...

I can’t say I’ve ever seen that size in Mich. Can you imagine getting plunked in the head with something like that? It’d probably kill you.

We missed out on this latest colorado disaster (Im shocked that we did given our level of jinx). I hope your roof and cars are ok!
After the fire, i think you've had enough for a couple of lifetimes.

As for the hail, how many roofers have come calling?
We got 1/2-3/4" hail back in 2017 and they descended onto our neighborhood like flies to shit.

We had 3" the DAY i picked up my Demon in Colorado Springs (june 18, 2018)...lucky as hell for teh demon (no rain in colorado springs) but when we got back to Denver area the damage had been done...looked like a war zone...new roof needed on our house! most neighbors too and countless trashed cars...

the only biblical thing colorado doesn't get is (maybe?) locusts! o_O

Cars yes, roof, no, but I don't have any emotional ties to it, so I'm happy.

I remember that 2018 storm, that's when replaced my roof last. (A year later)

I think the biggest I’ve ever seen in Michigan was about the diameter of a nickel. It was big enough to put 80 small dents in my GTO and PDR fixed it right up.

Got caught in a hail storm just south of Colorado Springs, with a 911 Turbo S on the trailer. And parking was beyond full at all the overpasses.

I didn't even want to see what the Porsche looked like until getting to the dealer (it was a trade-in). Thankfully, and oddly enough, it was still perfect.

We get up to 1/4" hail here, and that's large enough.
