  1. You pay tax on the vehicle purchase itself
  2. You pay an extra gas guzzler tax no matter how much you drive it
  3. You pay to register it yearly (at least in NH) - tax for use of public roadways while driving that vehicle no matter how much you drive
  4. You pay to inspect it yearly (at least in NH) - My car is new, it doesn't need to be inspected. Essentially tax for owning it at that point.
  5. You pay tax on fuel that goes in it
  6. You pay tax on tires that go on it (not in NH but most states)
  7. You pay tolls (tax) to travel and use state owned roadways you drive on in it
It's literally never ending
And taxes paid on it every time it’s resold, resold, resold, and resold. How could the same item be taxed so many times? It should be once it’s taxed that should be the final tax on it but it doesn’t work that way, crooks!!

At least you didn't have to pay sales tax on the car and "improvements". :)

(For the audience: NH does not have a "general" sales tax. There are sales taxes on things like prepared food, lodging, rental cars, things that tourists buy.)
