- 2016 Challenger Hellcat
I'm new to this forum and thought I'd share a public service announcement with any poor SOB that is having the same issues I had with my 2016 Challenger Hellcat.
I bought my car new. Shortly after purchasing it, it developed a front end vibration at about 80 mph. The steering wheel vibrated too. For years, I spent untold time and money trying to fix it. Road force balancing, alignment, new tires, different wheels, motor and transmission mounts. Nothing worked.
About a year ago, I took a hunk of Semi Truck tire to my grill. Had to replace a lot of the front body work. The shop noted the framework INSIDE the front spoiler/air dam was also broken. They replaced it.
My front end miraculously stopped vibrating.
I remembered squashing my spoiler on a concrete parking space block about the time the problem started. It popped right back in shape - so I figured it was fine. It wasn't. I didn't know there was an internal frame that had likely been damaged.
If you've got a similar problem, try replacing the internal framework on your spoiler.
Your welcome.
Happy motoring to you!
