I am not a professional and need all the help I can get because I am crazy!
A little bit of crazy never hurt anyone. It just makes life more interesting.

Great video as always! Thanks for sharing and nice smooth runs!

Btw- That's the "standard" GT3 (the RS will have vents on the front and rear fenders and an even larger wing). It did have the carbon ceramic brakes though (yellow calipers). Looks like it was moving out pretty well.

I didn't quite get a 1:51 to match your friend's Acura NSX but it wasn't the cars fault. I see time when I watch the video.

If you did not video it, most people would not believe you can get a Hellcat within one second of a car like that.

I don't kid myself. Surely a good NSX driver would be 4 to 5 seconds faster than me. But I'll take it. 😉

You can make that hellcat dance, theres no kidding about that. Surely YOU could make that NSX faster than most. Very different cars though.

A video (without telemetry) of my 1st session with the Porsche Club. I learned from this session of high traffic that I'd better stage at the front for Session 2 if I wanted some clear track. This also shows me bouncing around in the seat vs. my normal GoPro helmet cam view in the upper right. Maybe this winter I'll get a better driver seat and a rollbar. We'll see what SEMA brings.

Nothing that I can be sure of yet. If some interesting things are announced I'll spend some money before Spring. If not I have some choices to make.

Ok, fine... ;)

How much longer after you passed "Porsche with an attitude" did he fall behind?

Have you played with staying higher at the exit of turn-1, staying on the banked portion, instead of diving low to the flat transition of the infield road?

No, I think Turn 1 has 1 main line. If I tried staying high it's a longer distance and I'm in a turn longer which means I'd be accelerating on the next straight for less distance. I might be able to carry more speed but all my instincts tell me to apex it down low.
There's also the concern for me there would be a lot less room for error before I'm on the grass.

I have it dialed in on Real Racing 3! Ask him which configuration they will use at COTA and we can take a peek together and see what we think.
That may be worth it. Their big configuration could be interesting. Plus my bud is a member over at Cresson for grins.
Hallett.....!!!!! and i'll follow you guys to MSR Cresson... :)

Except don't do a PCA day... they won't allow the Atom. Find a different event orgaznizer.

My friend is a member. We will need to see if we can make it work.

Some take the "high" line. It takes balls at 125+ mph. Watch the black Vette or whatever that looks like he is pacing the first lap. He takes that technically recommended line. Some don't cross down into the different color asphalt. There are a couple of landmarks to help you in #1, if you know, also. TD is correct your going so fast right there you really consciously and subconsciously want some wiggle room! Just so everyone knows cars have been totaled and people have died at the top of #1! Anything goes wrong in that area and/or even worse in #2 and shit will happen quick. A popular place to spin is in #2. It has the same radius as #1 but, no bank. Watched a Vette do that, complete a 180 into the wall on the right, total it and I had to dodge a wheel/tire combo that rolled back across the track.

Bull that is not a infield road. That would be turn #1 of the Comp Course.
