I don't have any hard feelings about the CDM thing. I'd have for sure made a party out of it, but the reality was it was marketing and they didn't want a middle aged guy. They already had Goldberg. Still glad I got to experience it.
I do think "maybe" Tim threw me a bone as a result though with the 170

Dodge loves their youtube statistics. That is their advertising (a big reason that D170 issue blew up with them).
They tout millennials and their future.
Then roll out more Hellcats, Redeyes, and Demons.
Millennials are not in the "let's buy a Hellcat" bracket. Some are most are not. See the tuition forgiveness stuff.
So why pick a younger millennial (possibly zennial) to sell your Hellcats to Gen X/Boomers???
Made zero sense.

Here's my theory with some insight from lead marketing folks I got to chat with during filming.
CDM was originally intended to be MUCH bigger than it was. Probably on TV and not just YT. It was originally planned before COVID but got shut down during the height of the pandemic. During that delay Stellantis bought FCA out and took over and severely cut the CDM budget which was still huge based on what I saw. I had lunch with one of the lead marketing guys and he flat out told me it was originally planned to be way bigger than what I was seeing.
I think CDM was originally meant to promote the Redeye platform.
Then FJB took over, signed anything put in front of him, and basically cancelled Hellcats. Dodge went EV, they pivoted CDM to promote EVs to millennials, and went with the person they thought best fit that demographic.

I don't normally respond to all the chatter but I'm making an exception. You guys are unreal. I have been drag racing for 22 years and still you get internet trolls out there that make warrantless comments and know little to nothing about you. There will be other races. Despite having won many events and done extremely well at others you don't win every race. Perhaps you can come race me with your stock whatever and show everyone how easy it is to beat me because I am a "moron" right? People love to talk shit that they can't back up. I'm not embarrassed in the least .. that's racing. Sometimes the prep just won't hold the power even if you win on the tree. I would never get on a public forum and be so disrespectful about someone I don't know. That says a lot about who you are as a person.
