911 Turbo Coupe For Sale

Just curious. Why look for 911s on BaT when there are so many other sources that are likely less pricey?

I think Colorado Springs Porsche, for example, would be less expensive. And they usually have a decent selection.

BAT....more often than not seems to bring ALL the money..

You can find a deal anywhere and it's not always about the best price. It might be the best car.

I've done that with bikes...sure I coulda bought cheaper...but when it's exceptional..ya gotta step up...

Figures. All this Porsche talk, and now she wants to order a base Cayman. That'd be her third, not counting the GT4.

But then she also claims that she doesn't need seven cars. I'm arguing that the Q8 isn't exactly interchangeable with a Cayman, so not the best one to trade in.

At least she's not thinking about letting the Redeye go.

Anyone (@Jimmy N. ) here owned a 2022+ Macan GTS. Got an 2024 allocation at MSRP with a build date of July 7th and about to pull the trigger. Did some laps in a 2016 GT3RS at NJMP yesterday (right after laps in a Huracan 610 and McLaren GT). The GT3RS was far superior to both - so I got the Porsche bug. Honorable mention to the Lambo - that thing was an AWD animal but damn near had to lay on the pavement to get into it (especially tough with a helmet).

No, she never had a GTS, but two of the S version. 400 hp if memory serves me, and they were very nice cars.

I put smaller wheels on those (as usual, basically), and more suitable tires for here, and even though she's a handling connoisseur she liked them a lot.

I'm guessing she'd still have a Macan if I hadn't given her grief about how much quicker my Trackhawk was. Which made her buy one, too.

Current GTS powertrain is the 2.9L 443HP (top dog) since the Turbo model went away in 2022. 0-60 in 3.5 and quarter in 12.1. Test drive I took a couple months ago was impressive. Will replace my 17 GCSRT (950 lbs heavier) which has been a great daily but the GTS is a lot quicker and the handling is just in a different zip code.

Yep, they sure know how to make cars handle. Heck, look at what they've accomplished with the 911.

I think you made a very good choice and will like the Macan a lot. We may even have a set (or two) of WeatherTech floor mats and a rear seat cover left over.

Seems like she orders them up within an hour of having ordered a new car, and I always take them out before the car goes away.

Luckily, she's not considering selling that one.

If I got to choose, the GT4 would go away, but she figures that the TRX can do what the Q8 does. And it can, but not quite the same way.
