The hopes to revitalize Atlantic City are still high and one project, in particular, really caught my attention. According to various sources, plans are in the works to create a $3.4 billion automotive-themed development, complete with its own 2.5 mile F1-style racetrack that would be divided into half-mile and 1.75-mile long circuits.

Surrounding the tracks will be condos for owners to live in and store their cars as well as shopping, dining, and a hotel.

DEEM is currently seeking approval of the construction plans from the City of Atlantic City.

Correct, the idea and start were in March of 2023. They are moving forward though.

Government & Funding

  • The Atlantic City Council unanimously approved the plan, which now heads to the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) for review
  • DEEM Enterprises will pay $100 million for the land, plus $15 million toward a new recreation center
  • Construction is expected to span 6–9 years, with the first phase costing around $750–800 million
