With the top coming off so easily I don't quite understand the draw to the vert. As mentioned it hides the engine and costs more to boot. I've never been a convertible fan, the OCD in me always felt like the interior would get beat up by the sun etc, but being able to pop the top off in 3 mins is pretty cool.

Mrs. Speedy and I took a 100 mile drive today ripping this thing. I tried launch control but couldn't figure it out so back to the manual I go :ROFLMAO: Did I mention this thing is a space ship?
In the C4 you could store the roof in the back, I don't know what they do for the C8, let us know. I would often leave the roof home because you couldn't put golf clubs in the back with the roof in the way. That's how I learned that if you stay over 65, almost no rain gets in! The C8 might demand 80! :ROFLMAO:

C8 has a snap in storage space for the top in the back...and room for clubs up front...(maybe)...well thought out vehicle

PSA - Be mindful of the tire dressing you use. I'm not sure if the previous owner put this stuff on the car, or the dealer I bought it from, but man it was terrible.

I noticed when I washed the car the wheels looked a little dull. Looked closer and saw some kind of film that was worse in the barrels and on the calipers. Car wash soap wouldn't touch it.

My OCD was triggered so yesterday I pulled the wheels to clean it up. I always start with the least aggressive cleaner and work my way up. It felt kinda greasy so I started with hot water and dish soap, wouldn't touch it. Simple Green diluted didn't touch it. Simple Green 100% didn't touch it. Dayum.....finally went to paint thinner and THAT cleaned it up but what a freaking mess. Someone had just sprayed tire dressing all over everything and it was nasty stuff.

Took about an hour per wheel to get them cleaned up. Then I ceramic coated them for good measure. Rear tires on this thing are steam rollers.

Bet it was some crap the dealer slathered on. They must have used the same shite pre-delivery on my Genesis, my wheels & barrels looked exactly like that & the detail shop said it was a huge PITA to get off.

Those are some huge meats out back [ohcrap]

I went through a whole quart of paint thinner. I'd hate to see the bill for a detail shop to clean it up.

My last resort before laq thinner is "Awesome" spray cleaner from Dollar Tree. I was afraid use it on painted wheels, but it appears, so far, to not be a problem. I keep it handy on the shelf in the garage with all the car stuff. Cheap too! $1.25/qt last time I bought it.

Another thing to watch out for. Some of the CLP's have wicked solvents in them!!! Anything that cleans a gun bore should not go anywhere near your paint!!!

It was a big bill, but I knew that going in as the whole car was a hot mess. Looked like they had been washing it with those green scrubby things.
Even my wife (who never cares about scratches, swirls etc.) mentioned it looked like ass - that was when I KNEW for sure it was bad ;)

On my aluminum barrels that are not coated that are the inside of those beautiful chrome wheels, you guys see in my pictures, I need to use Mothers. I will NEVER let anyone do a two piece wheel like that ever again.

On my road course wheels by Triumph he coated the entire wheel and barrels with a magical protective coating that usually just takes plain generic wheel cleaner and high pressure. And, those get filthy nasty with brake dust and pieces of rubber stuck everywhere big time.

I did PowerStop pads on the Hellcat. Factory pads were awful with dust. Around the block and wheels were coated in soot.

The 170 doesn't have that issue thankfully.

Jury's still out on the Z06.

What’s different about the 170 pads? Powerstops definitely don’t stop as good as the stock ones
