Dodge dropped the ball repeatedly overthe last 4 years. Chevy just kept building and tuning and improving. Definitely shows with the c8.

So, if you own one of these, where do you drive it? In traffic surrounded 16y olds, angry drunks and ladies on conference calls? Do you park at Walmart, restaurant, or anywhere else? If I paid $200k+ for a car, I'd be terrified to take it out of the garage! As it is, every time I take out the HC, someone is tailgating, pulling out in front of me or cutting me off.

Same as my RE. Could have driven it this beautiful morning. But did the DDSRT. Same deal, did not want any stress, had to park in a public lot, knew this trip to the doctor in the metro area had no chance of exercising it. So the wonderful car sits. Drive it last night to a restaurant 30 min away, but knew I could watch it and knew the parking was appropriate too.

I use to be a chevy man myself....but being honest I have liked and owned fords,chevy, and mopar. But chevy just to me just got high priced and the quality just wasn't there. I had a 68 camaro when I bought it with 2000 miles on it it ran great and I stayed for a while but why I got the 87 I-roc it wasnt 6 months it had squeaks and rattle everywhere. And when I bought the 84 vette with cross fire injection it was complete dog no power what so ever. The best one I had was 55 chevy 283/4speed and we had waffle the frame as much as we could and for the early 70's it was fast.

I'm shopping for a C8 Z06, seriously shopping as in when I find one spec'd how I want at the right price I'm buying it. My dealer buddy offered to order me a 26' Z06 for $5K off, but I'm hoping I can find a 24' CPO. I want some variety for my weekend drives. 2024 and up I have my eye out for to avoid the first year gremlins.

The ZR1 is very interesting, I'm just hesitant to buy a first model year car with all going on there. I bought a first model year Gen 6 2SS Camaro back in 2016 and it had a lot of gremlins. As a result it soured me on the car and I sold it. The ZR1 did creep in my mind for a minute, but I'd have to sell/trade the 170 to get it. I'd rather have both if I can swing it on a priced right Z06.

ZR1x is a double whammy in terms of complexity. If you're the type that buys one and keeps it a couple years and moves on, game on, but if you wanna keep the car for any amount of time that's a LOT going on with new power plant, new turbo setup, new sensors/pcm, and add to that a relatively new battery and electric awd system. Yikes.

Then there's price. Z06 is already on up there for what Corvette is known for, and the depreciation is HUGE. Watched a nice low mileage 23 Z06 sell for $108K on Sunday at BAT and it was nicely equipped. That EXACT SAME car bid to $190K and went RNM in March 23.

MacMulkin Chevrolet has their 2025 Z06s (more than 30 of them) discounted $12K - $14K right now. I'm tempted to make them an offer on one of the orange ones, but really want silver with red/black interior.
