Ok, you guys have helped me a crapload with many other things, and I greatly appreciate it! Now here is my new issue…

Re: 2022RENB, I am hoping you guys could tell me what you have used successfully for skinnies on your HC. I know nothing about them and I don’t know anyone that uses them. I am hoping you guys could share width, offset and tire size. The only thing I know is some or all of the newer RE’s need different front wheels to clear the calipers. I’m not changing front brakes so we’re staying with 20”.

I am not a pro, just looking for some budget wheels and tires. I have been watching the forums for months and you don’t see them for sale very often like we did a couple years ago.

I would greatly appreciate advice/thoughts/recommendations.

Thanks!

I used the Mickey Thompson sportsmen because of the tread pattern and they are used on many fast cars. They are heavy if that's a problem for you. Wheels were VMS 18x5.
Here it is in 17".

Apparently, m&h has a front skinny that “a lot” of people are running, but they don’t provide a load rating if to anyone. I run the ET Street Fronts, which are super light, 32 lbs with wheel. But I’m over the weight limit on them

The 2022 has a bigger front caliper, you will need spacers or wheels that will specifically clear them

I'm thinking about narrowing some extra wheels I have. A good 20" tire that's like a front-runner, is the issue.

Just get the most narrow ones you can find with the proper load and speed rating, if they're available. Finding different tires anymore seems to be getting harder and harder.

My Charger didn't like turning on those Mickey Thompson sportsmen. I had to lower the air pressure so they would at least try...🤣🤣

And $390 for the 18” (28x6). Insane the price jumps so much

That was the main reason I didn’t get them, besides the weight. Too much money. If you take a good amount of weight out of your challenger you can be within the weight limits of the et street fronts

I got them incase I was on the street, it started raining and they would hold up to highway use.

I won't mix radial and bias tires.

The ET street fronts are radial (I didn’t post a pic). I really know nothing about the m&h tires, but people run them (probably just at the track). I drove with et street r and et street fronts to the track. No worries. But got caught in rain twice. Bad time

I've had few bad experiences in the rain. 1 of the main reasons I started trailering.

If you can find them the Momo 195 / 55 / 20 tires work good on the front of these cars. Drive nice with a good load rating.

Thanks guys, but the tires are the easy part. Finding wheels that fit, and don't cost $500 each!!!!!!! That is the prob.

I have several emails to mfrs/suppliers asking what will fit. I hoped some of you guys would already have the answer. But it's early. Thanks for the help! :)

The majority of people go to smaller wheel diameter such as 18".

I never found anything cheaper than the $500 Welds for the front of my ‘22 Redeye. The larger front brakes make finding wheels a challenge.
