My last trip...Buffalo/Lake Worth Fla...I had a custom 39 Ford custom golf cart built...enclosed shipping was part of the deal...they were having trouble finding a carrier to come to Buff....so after 3 wks. of it sitting there I went and got it...left Buff @ 7am on a Thursday... was back home Sat. morning @ 5am.....loaded it up..turned around and headed straight back...46hrs...never stopped to sleep..or eat..(just gas station junk food)..only stopped for gas...ALOTTA gas....towin a trailer @ 85 plus...was a kiiler on mileage
You are a very, very, lucky person!!!
The best trailer tires I could find was Goodyear Endurance, speed rated "N" to 87 mph, they have been great on my 20' trailer. Many other trailer tires are MAX 65 mph. I would be hesitant to exceed 60-65 mph with my trailer, emergency stopping 12,000 lbs. would be a scare. The fuel mileage, for me, is 12 mpg, but at 85 mph, you were really burning "ALOTTA" gas. I doubt, I could do that trip, I'm tired just thinking about it...
