If any modern Mopar will appreciate it is the Demon, it may not appreciate, lets see.Buy a RE, guaranteed depreciation.
When you pay 30-40k less for a “pale comparison”, I can live with the depreciation. Who really cares? I’ll never live long enough to see the appreciation on a car that I wouldve had to invest a lot more cash into and then wrap in bubble wrap anyway. Drive the Demon around the block and see what’s it’s worth after. There are too many others being preserved in cryo smoke and golden oxygen.
Guiness is cool and appreciation is too, but not everyone is willing to pay 100k for a car, never drive it, and wait 30 years. Love the Demon but im too old for that and im not a flipper so it means nothing to me.
NOT A DEMON HATER, I love em. Just wish they never numbered them or limited them. I get that’s half of the appeal but limited production investment cars are not my thing. Rather drive the pale comparison and not give a crap about how much my grandkids will make on a car that I never got to drive.
Now let the hate pour in from my opinion, im used to it, im married.

I agree but you must not have read all my posts.
Nah... I did. I am just running my mouth, and deflating egos and causing butthurt flare-ups.

Oh I am sure you will be 100% correct. Lets take your supposed purchase price of 95K out the door as the truth. I would rather have my 15K savings, actually invest it over the next 10-years while getting to drive my Redeye instead of leaving it in a bubble. I will bet I come out ahead of you and here is a thought, I actually get to enjoy the car I purchased. Good luck with your "investment". Just go ask C6 ZR1, 2008 Challenger, 2001 Cobra R and 2015 Hellcat owners how those investments worked out. Oh wait a minute, I still own most of those cars, but what do I know.
I agree with some of your previous posts, but I cant agree with this one. Assume you earn 5% on your $15K per year ($750/year before taxes), I can assure you the Redeye will depreciate more than you are earning. Carry on.

Brother, keep on posting, it puts a smile on face because no alcohol helps me in my understanding of what you are saying, however, if I give it time and don't force it, I get it, then again, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed.
That's because you are more like a hammer.:p:ROFLMAO:

Supposed what, I paid sticker, some paid under, what are you going to do with 15K? Get interest, no, invest in the bubble called the stock market? Maybe. You think, as do more than few here, that there will be a quicker vehicle. Lets see, I say it is the high water mark, everything is changing, can you order a 2020 Challenger? no, why? We will know if I am right, if I am right, boom, lets see the prices on Demons.

Are we sure there is a RE in 2020? Patrick R. stated it but can you order one?
Are you alluding to the fact that the redeye is dead in 2020?

I thought about the rare vipers, what is it doing price wise?
130k+
Im not sure what sticker was on them but i think they have been falling in price as well.

Total build of Vipers from 13-17 was just higher than the Demon's 3,300. ACR-E's are the baddest ones and im not sure on build numbers but its a rare beast that is never returning.
NA V10 with a manual? Toast.

Well there are shit load of them available for sale right now.

Im not sure its good business sense for Dodge to bail on the RE program but they have done some questionable things of late

They are making too much money on Jeeps and Rams to worry about car sales.

It's not like Dodge, Chrysler, FCA, whatever they're called this month has done owners any favors over the years.

2008 SRT8 Challenger - limited edition dash plaque numbered cars supposedly the ONLY year you'd see Hemi Orange - $10K+ ADM
2009 - SRT8 Challenger improved in several ways, first year of the M6, and yes.....Hemi Orange was available (I had one) and I got it for $11K off MSRP.
Folks who paid ADM = PISSED

2015 Hellcat - HUGE ADM (I personally saw people report as much as $25K)
2016 Hellcat - can't give them away. Dodge screwed the 2015 buyers by not producing all the orders placed after everyone was assured "we'll build all that we can sell". Offered vouchers to those purchasers for $5K off a 2016, but raised the price $10K. People cancelled orders, the market is flooded with the unwanted 2016 model. I bought one that had sat for 6 months on the dealer lot for $12K off MSRP and many others got some great deals.

2018 Dodge Demon - pretty impressive and ground breaking production car in my opinion. FCA played up the exclusivity of only 3300 units but pretended they'd have checks and balances in place to avoid ADM, but in the end ADM through the roof once again. Promised to be a one year and done car.
2019 Dodge Hellcat RE - not a Demon but might as well be, then comes the Chrysler buck program $1 off per HP making the RE a steal.

Now we're hearing rumor of some even more crazy car that may or may not be built. If it's crazier than the Demon, well.......

If what I've read about the C8 Vette is true then quickest/fastest will all be relative.

These cars won't be like 1970s models where kids that were in high school Dads or brothers had them and they were optioned in such a way you could have a 1 of 1 car with the nostalgia to go with it making the prices emotionally driven. Kids of today will be looking for a Tesla or Honda Civic at Barrett in 2050.

I just do not understand many or your posts, therefore, I do not respond. I try to understand, read them many times. My writing is not good, but your stuff is hmmmmm
I skip right past. Trying to figure out how to not see them at all lol. Not trying to be a jerk, but they take up valuable screen space!

Pretty good money in a 60k car they sell for 25k in the "base" trim.

Co worker bought his wife an SXT and paid something like 25k for it. As Moe Howard said in the 3 stooges "the rest is profit"

Hellcat, Demon, Trackhawk and project X,

No more Tesla CAFE credits to buy, FCA already paid and will continue to pay penalties for not making mileage requirements (the issuing and paying of future fines is speculation in my part). FCA appears to drawing out the 2019 model year as long as they can, why do that? IMO, there is a change coming, some say good (something quicker than the Demon, I go the other direction).

On another note, are they any Hellephants in customers hands? Is the revised aluminum block available?

That's a good question on the Hellephant engines. Weren't the first 100 supposed to be delivered some time back with a second round of orders opened? Hmmmmmmm.

I thought the aluminum block hellephant was just BS? Wasn't the same rational in play as with the HC engine? The weight savings was not worth the additional size size of the block for the required structural strength.

To quote the President, "I, in my great and unmatched wisdom," don't think so.

Never worried bout what I paid for a car...or what anybody else thought it was worth...I drive it if I want...when I want...without regard for what any body thinks I should do with it...and that's how it should be...just my .02
