It mounts in a good spot and no extra holes to drill.
If you already have plate holes drilled, the black part of the bumper where it mounts is just a plastic trim insert. Pop it off with a trim tool and replace it with a new one. maybe $80 or less, I can't remember but I replaced mine as it was drilled.
I installed the mount bolts through these holes, but you can adjust to whichever ones you want.
This is what it looks like
This is what the mount looks like; but you can change the configuration to many different ones. I actually had mine switched around so it was mounted upside down. You can make this one pretty much do whatever you need to do. There are rubber spacers on the mounting posts so that it doesn't mark up the plastic.
And if you decide that you want one of these mounts....let me know. I removed mine from my car when I sold it, so it's sitting in the box in my garage and could use a new home.
Another vote for the Sto n Go n Sho n whatever it's called lol. Love it. Pull a pin and it comes right off for shows or cleaning. Never touches the paint, re-uses a couple of existing mounting screws. Total win.
Unfortunately Cali requires one, plus I drive it on to the Marine Base every day and they check. I saw the stonshow, but I had one alot like Stormtrooper showed. I just prefer something low on the front grill.
