Well now to have a HX, heat exchanger you have to have a 3 way valve by pass with numerous metals. Which takes unions that want deteriate the metals. The black sticky stuff used as insulation,, is a bitch to take off in case of a leak. On the union. Try using 3/4 Armaflex glued in place to be able to remove. Heat exchanger you want to dispurse as much heat as possible. What it is for. Chiller tank itself, don't use the alumium foil taped on insulation. It will get condensated and fall apart. Also use 3/4 inch Armaflex glued in place and it will not peal off. Remember to use Armstrong 520 glue and seal the seams for lack of moisture. To have a better sealent and moisture control. Apply 2 coats of Armaflex white finish works as a vapor barrier and last 3 times as long. The finish is water based,, easy for cleaning.

If you don't like the white, Home Depot will tint it any color for)$$$. Just purchase a cheap 3 inch brush.
