checking RS's master list on that other place: 2018-dodge-demon-production-information-updates for the two dash plaque #'s mentioned
1366 - F8 Green /// Laguna/Alcantara /// Black delivered to Tampa
2074 - Go Mango /// Laguna/Alcantara /// Black delivered to Marietta
Looks like it could be the GoMango (from my pics and screen I guess that is orange), but Speedys recent pics show it doesn't have alcantara.
There should be a vin stamped in the left side shock tower frame roughly close to the power distribution box. Can't miss it unless they ground it off and repainted that area.
Did you/friend check this?

I'm going with stolen car, altered VIN

It is Go Mango.

He sent the car back to the person who dropped it off, so we can't look now.

There was no crate by the way.

As a shop owner who ran across a vehicle that has a funny VIN, and the fact he also asked for others to give him input (and also the creation of this thread and conversation). I would HIGHLY recommend he make a call to the authorities and report his experience. I mean, like, right now.

If this goes sideways in the future, he's attached to seeing the car in some form or fashion. Should an investigation ensue, this will be found on the internet by law enforcement.

How much does he want for it?
I could use a dedicated track car...

No evidence of wrong doing on the shop owners part, but still better to be proactive about it. And document everything.

We think its stolen. Original dash plaque 1366. It's got 2074 on it now. Maybe someone knows someone on this car?

JH101366 /// (39402134) /// F8 Green /// Laguna/Alcantara /// Black Sold in Tampa Florida

JH102074 /// (39399150) /// Go Mango /// Laguna/Alcantara /// Black Sold in Marietta GA

Looks like you got this Demon with the wrong VIN attached

Exactly, this falls into a similar (if maybe not as required and serious) situation as a clergyman, doctor, therapist, social worker, jeweler, gunsmith,etc.etc., who comes across some form of potential wrongdoing or illegal activity and has a duty to report it.

Although the person with the shop had no wrongdoing, it'll save any potential hassle in the future of him being put on the questioning block as to what part he played in this car going through his shop.

The VIN gets me. If C is Hellcat Challenger but the last 6 go to a 3.6 Charger then the VIN is fake. So if you are going to take the time to make a fake VIN wouldn't you at least put the H in it for Demon?

So on a Demon, are the last 4 digits of the VIN the same as the number on the dash?

I have found 1 and they do match up

Could this be a wreaked or stolen donor car?
I'd put stolen at the top of my guess list

Everything looks to be correct on this car except the VIN. Even matches the window sticker

Makes me think car stolen and VIN tag changed. Is their a registry of whom owns which number? I had a 2001 Mustang Bullitt which are numbered and on the Bullitt site they had every number and you could put it which one was yours
