Hello i have ordered front red Brembo brake pads for my 18 Hellcat Widebody.
We have installed them on the professional garage.

After a driving on the highway the pads destroyed my Rotors instantly after 100 miles and i got my right caliper got off.
So i was nearly having an accident since the brake system heated up and the bolts that holding the caliper just broke.

Installation was correct and there was no problem with the initial original brake pads before.

what do you guys suggest ? im going to sue the Brembo for making this pads.

Im posting the photos check it out guys 20231025_200105.jpg IMG-20231012-WA0004.jpg 20231023_122603.jpg 20231023_163239.jpg 20231023_163231.jpg 20231023_122606.jpg

Those are the Brembo NOA ceramic, low dust pads.
There must be something else going on here to get that bolt so hot it failed.
Looks like the damage to your wheel may be bad enough you need a new wheel also.
Is it possible your caliper was stuck somehow and was riding on the rotor?
I really don't think this was the pad's fault.

That is really strange. Any smoke or smell while driving? Were the pistons fully compressed prior to the new pad install?

chicken/egg question:
- did the bolts break first and thus /cause/ the problem?
or
- did the calipers stick, and by overheating the pads/rotors cause the bolt to break?

You don't have to touch the caliper bolts at all to change pads on the 6-piston brembos. Just two pins that hold in a clip. None of this makes any sense.

@BULL?

...and suing Brembo? Yeah, good luck with that, the chances that the pads are the proximate and in turn, preventable cause of this damage are near zero.

There's WAY more going on here than a "defective" set of brake pads, especially considering this happened within a 100 miles of install...

calipers sticking or improper install an someone didn`t tighten bolts or over tightened an stripped. they would never break the mounting bolts if installed properly. no way no how . don`t care how hot they got an who would keep driving an not know you have a big problem up frt:unsure:
oh by the way welcome to the forum;)

The most likely culprit here is the shop--and they should have insurance to cover something like this.
I mean, unless you can somehow prove those pads are from a bad batch and have a defective compound...? Which is highly unlikely, but even if it were true probably just as difficult again to prove.
