That sounds worse. I did rear springs and choose to drop the cradle one side at a time then unbolting the control arm. Seems you have to lower exhaust to get bolt out. You probably don't have full exhaust, race car
I'm pretty sure I flipped my bolts around the first time so I would never have to mess with the exhaust again.

The exhaust is easy to remove. Everyone in the videos always says to remove it off the rubber isolator.. that's the hard way. If you just unbolt the hanger bracket instead it comes right off, no prying involved, easy peasy.

I have done both axles this way in an hour and half or less. I guess it’s preference. Stock axles drop the diff but you still need to disconnect driveshaft and exhaust. Either way hour and a half or less I don’t think it’s going to get much faster. This is also on jackstands

OK, for those of us that are STUPID, what is this other way? (Besides dropping the diff) Acronyms aren't helping here, I need pictures and crayons... :(

I have unhooked it and had it off a few times. I hate messing with the isolators and at least on these cars you can unbolt the exhaust and not have to pry it off

You unbolts the upper control arms, trailing arms, sway bar, knuckle, alignment bar and come out the side 20230924_121053.jpg 20230924_093117.jpg 20230924_093057.jpg

It seems less invasive to me, also avoids alignment possibilities

Both ways only take about a half hour a side if you have done it before.

Stock axles have so much play they practically fall out dropping diff. Aftermarket are tougher but my renegades were not bad. We tore up both boots trying to get the outlaws out on jons car, there isn't a lot of movement in them

It took me longer than that when I did it dropping the diff, but I felt like it was a smooth path.

I have a done it a couple of times and that half hour turns into hours. I probably lose a lot of time being I do everything with hand tool, no air or power

Just have to pry perfectly straight, then it slips right off. Pry at any angle at all and it'll just bind up.
