Will storing hydraulic floor jacks vertically cause them to leak?

Something like this:

It saves lots of floor space. A1779CD0-F2C0-401D-A14D-341DE1F5B277.jpeg

The only problem with doing that, is that the jack mechanism has a vent on the oil reservoir. either in the fill plug or elsewhere. And when turned up end wise. It can leak oil out of the vent hole. Just like anything else that has oil in it. it is made to function in a certain orientation.

Pit Pal Products makes a floor jack holder that mounts to the walls of trailers to hold jacks in that position.

Vega verta pack

Amongst other things engineers designed an engine oil baffle to prevent oil from entering the No. 1 cylinder, batteries with filler caps located high up on the rear of the case to stop acid spills; carburetor float bowls with a tube that drained gasoline into the vapor canister during shipment, and a windshield washer bottle with a 45 degree angle.

All the extra design, just to save on shipping.
Wow.
