It is what I want to do to the Durango. This is going to hurt. Fox the awful rock chip in the hood, prep the entire front end for a wrap. Right. First he is quoting a new front bumper.

Damn, working on a damn $5k upgrade for the 23 Durango! All you guys with new Durango’s, GET the FRONT WRAPPED!

$3.7 k to get the front painted with new bumper, have to fix a rather ugly rock dent on the front of the hood, a $225 charge to fix an ignorant door dink from the Denver airport long ago and I do not need to ask about $1.5k for the wrap, I should have done in 2023. That makes about five large.

Put a good whippin' on a Subrau, he rolled up on me and downshifted....rolling at like 30-35 mph, I paddled down to 2nd gear quick, we looked at each other and hit it! I had to feather it a little and then I was surprised the Michelin 305 4S tires grabbed pretty good for the top of 2nd, then by well into 3rd gear I put a couple car lengths on him He was definitely modded, loud turbos/whistle and pillar gauge pod.

oh believe me, I was driving very lightly the last 5-10 miles. Got over to Burnsville and did not look b4. No 93 until much closer to home.🤪

Lunch was good: nearly best Asian in the land- D. Fongs, Savage, MN. David is cool himself.

I just looked. Ashamed, you are correct I still had two gallons. I did run it out one day at RA. Got as far as the pit exit fortunately before it just quit running. The gauge does not keep up as well when it is getting 3-5 mpg.

From lunch it said 23-30 miles remained. I think it was about seven actual miles. It did drop to 21 miles just before pulling it in. Pretty accurate since I still had a couple remaining. I did not even hear the supercharger at all, but the stereo was playing.

Well, in my case I started from home, which is uphill no matter which way I go (part of living in a valley) so I had to gain a few hundred feet on the way to town.

Remind me to dig up the photo of the dash that I took along the way to the station.

I've heard it often said...that rolls down hill...A real down side to livin in the valley....so..you live in total isolation..AND you live in the valley....

😜 the one with 40 mpg? I have done a couple of those with the Durango in CO. Never had the Challenger at altitude (yet).

No, I haven't got around to cheating with the Lie-O-Meter reading yet, by resetting it at the top of a long downhill.

I did drive very slowly (for me) to increase the odds of making it to the station, so the mpg reading did go up a bit during that drive.

It is not cheating. It is close to the instantaneous fuel burn, so ….

I have shown pretty good MPG - cruising in 6th, trying to reduce the RPM as much as possible:
Not a fuel sipping machine, but an interesting exercise on a long trip...
